Salary Cap glitch...not seeing it

PS-3: Did the salary cap glitch get fixed in the new update? Ive had my game about a month now, in my 5th year cc (off-line) (Chiefs) and all salaries are normal. The problems with salary I've had are mostly self-imposed. What usually triggers the glitch? Does it happen in a certain year? Is there anything I should look out for or not do? Thanks in advance!!!

The glitch happens at a random year. There isn't a specific year that you can expect to happen.

I can 100% tell you that the salary cap glitch was fixed through an online server if you play online. However, there has been no mention of fix for offline. Maybe you are a few who the glitch doesn't affect you.

I read in another thread that someone thought the glitch only happened when you delegated stuff, like resigning players or whatever.

No, it happened to me and I've never delegated anything. Hit me in my 5th year. A real killer. Switched to on line. So far so good.

Thanks for the replies...But now I think I have a problem..

My salary cap is showing -13 million and thats after I traded 3 of my big money players away for draft picks...I'm in week #16, year 5....My salary cap wont move, Its stuck on -13 million....no matter what I do, I release players, trade players etc and nothing works...Also, when Im in the team salaries screen its showing I have 3 million available but when I go to re-sign players it says I have -13 million???...And says I dont have enough money to re-sign anyone....Makes no sense....When I traded it should had adjusted my cap right??? Do I have the glitch now? lol

What can I do to get back on track?

I'm not all that familiar with the glitch so I can't answer all of your questions but you need to be careful when trading players (even for picks) as it can actually reduce your cap room. Cap penalties apply to trades just like they do when you release a player.

So maybe trading players is causing the glitch??? Im sure someone has looked further into this possibility but in my case I think my trading was triggering the glitch to start or maybe just my poor money skills..

Thanks for clarifyng that!! That was the problem..I assumed that trading would free up cap space but it doesnt. That explains why my salary cap kept going up after trading..lol...After further review I dont think I have the glitch (yet). Instead of trading I released players and my salary cap is going down now for some odd reason, before it wouldnt move! I still have the problem of on the team salary screen its showing I have a positive number but when I go resign players I have a negative number, and Im still unable to re-sign anyone...Still confused a little.. Problem I don't get is why EA want patch the offline cap bug. I mean if they found what was causing it for online CCM. I'm sure it is the same problem for the offline CCM as well. But they seem to not care anymore. I understand they are well into working on Madden14 and all. But at least take the time to patch something you did for the online CCM. That is why I have not gone back and bought Madden13 because of that. This just get me less excited about Madden14 right now.

There is going to be less and less support for offline players going forward. The majority of players have an internet connection, and it's much faster and cheaper for them to release server side updates that fix issues in the game than it is to issue an official patch. They have to pay large sums of money for each patch they put out, along with using resources of their team to work on the previous version. Going forward it will most likely be more beneficial for you to play using "online" ccm.

Yes this is the glitch; there is no known offline fix.

They fixed online only is what I heard.... I think its a matter of luck. I dont think I got the "official glitch" though like most are getting. I think mine was self imposed by trading too many high priced players..Im still not certain..

(I do know that my problems started when I traded Derrick Johnson with 6 years remaining on his contract)....

I can fix mine by trading/releasing lower salary/lower years remaining on contract players though.

However, I still have the problem of on the team salary screen showing I have a positive number but when I go resign players I have a negative number, and I'm still unable to re-sign anyone (unless I release 1/4 of my team to get back under the cap)...Still confused a little.

In year 6 (2017) in bucs offline ccm and no glitch yet

Question tho

If I got it say next year will my ccm be unplayable from then on or will problem be gone after the glitched season?

I would like to know also...Ive read some people can continue and some cant...unsure.
