so i had signed a contract extension back in Feburary and got simmed till the end of the year. definitely sucked because we dropped from 1st seed to 6th seed. but anyway, i started the playoffs and got us to the finals. up 3-0 and before game 4 i see the little message pop up that tells me "new gm conversation topic available".
hmmm, wonder what that is? go to talk to the gm before game 4 and i see option 5/6 is discuss contract extension, and option 6/6 is i will be testing the free agency.
i'm like...WTF?
i already signed a contract extension? luckily i had my back up save so i went ahead and played game 4, loss and then won in game 5. winning finals mvp. anywhoo's in the offseason it puts me to the "negotiate contract" screen with about 7-8 teams... none of which are my team.
again...WTF? i had signed a contract. screw this...go to my backup save. reload at the end of game 3 before the start of game 4 and go to the gm and discuss an extension. this time around i get significantly less (midseason extension had me at 651vc, extension right before game 4 had me at 505vc).
whatever, i take the lesser offer and game 4 gets simmed. bummer. we won, so a sweep this time i guess. but again, i get to the offseason part and now i have to do the "negotiate contract" with 7-8 teams and none of which are my original team.
AAARRRGGggghhh. what the effing hell 2k? do you guys test anything? this game has bugs coming out the butthole.
now i know i signed the extension cause it simmed my arse...twice. has anyone else out there heard of ... or experienced this glitch? where you signed the extension but then the team for some reason wont honor it? and now i dont know what to do. just to reiterate, it was the last year of my contract.

But weather the team wants you back depends on the depth of the position I believe.
