    Pro Yakyuu Spirits 2013

I'm just curious if anyone is going to get this? I'm considering it but I'm just a little worried about it being in Japanese. Is there a place where a website will have everything translated? Also I take this is supposed to be released in late March.

Usually the last week of march.

The language makes it difficult for certain gamemodes but most are playable if you do your homework!

I mostly play exhibition games myself but have played some franchise and you can get by fairly well with the translations and pics they have.

I've always been really fascinated by these Pro Yakyuu games, would like to get my hands on one.

Start by playing MLB Power Pros. Very similar coding structure and game engine, despite the changes in the art.

Nevertheless, it didn't need many tweaks to play a damn fine game of baseball. It was cute and entertaining as well. I wish I could play it on my PS3.

(note that the MLB Bobblehead Pros released for Xbox Live isn't nearly as good as the PS2 versions, yet I still would have purchased it if it made an appearance on the PSN store)

You can get Power Pros 2008 for PS2 or Wii for under $5, which I definitely recommend doing as a cheaper alternative to paying full price and importing Pro Spirits.

Unfortunately, the Xbox 360 version of Power Pros is no longer available for purchase.

I'm currently playing my Hiroshima franchise to death in PYS 2011. I read only minimal Japanese so don't be intimidated by the language barrier. I will be buying 2013 as soon as I can.

They were my team in 2011. Loved em. Soyagi at short
Kurihara was a beast at first
Tracy with his smooth swing at third
Maeda a stone cold killer at the top of the rotation

Threw a perfect game with of all people, Jumpei Shinoda.

Do the import games play just fine on a regular PS3? Can't say I've ever really looked into it.

Yes, virtually all PS3 games are region free. Well, with the exception of literally 4 or 5.

It's possibly a good thing I didn't know about that until now. So many unique games in Japan.

Yep, PYS 2012 definitely does and worth adding that it will automatically look for any major title updates. In Europe and I was prompted to download 1.04 I think, so you can be confident that any bug patching is accessible.

I've never experienced a BUG patch with PYS. The patches are always the roster updates throughout the year. This isn't EA you're dealing with.
