2K12 Worth the buy?I know MLB 2K13 is going to come out real soon, but I'm kinda curious to give 2K12 a whirl due to its price on Amazon ($27). I haven't bought a MLB game since 2K6, the 1st on Xbox 360. Any suggestions are appreciated.St. Louis Cardinals: 11x World Series Champions: 1926,31,34,42,44,46,64,67,82,2006,11

 Re: 2K12 Worth the buy?

You should be able to find 12 a lot cheaper than that. Might want to try 11 I think it is the better game.

 Re: 2K12 Worth the buy?

2k12 is a fairly solid game, and a big change from the kush era of the game. Most are expecting 2k13 to be a more polished version of 2k12 - so if you can afford the extra $, you may want to wait a few weeks and just get 2k13. If not, at $20: 2k12 is a good buy.Comment

Not if you own a PS3... that is like buying a Sega game when MLB The Show is on the market...If you keep bowing down and praising the developers, (NHL series) nothing they give us the consumer will ever be a "finished" product. Take a stand, it is your money!!!.Comment

 Re: 2K12 Worth the buy?

The Show has probably the worst stat tracking in the history of current gen sports games. It is pathetic!!! There are also no scouting reports on the game, and they incorporate in-season statistics incredibly poorly. Only on the Show do you ever see league leaders sorted by individual category.

The Show also jacked up ball bouncing physics horribly last year. It was hilarious with the oh-so-righteous Show fanatics defending them as accurate. Now the Show has said they are going to fix it. Why are they fixing it if it was never broken.

Once game-play does enter you into one of it's forced animations (very often) eliminating any human control the game does become beautiful.

The error in his comment is pick up and play. The Show doesn't allow that for anyone. Love their learning curve.

God....The Show. A great game despite everything I said, but let's not crown it.Comment

I like how blind fans of MLB 2K can mention The Show without getting flamed, but other people could never do it without getting flamed.

That is so fair and balanced.. psh.

I can't even reply to you guys because I'll be labeled "a show guy" or some crap like that and I'll repeatedly be told "you're in the wrong forum" or something.Last edited by tonadom; 01-22-2013, 12:51 PM.Comment
