    What CCM additions/improvements are you hoping to see in Madden 14?

    I'll start, fixing schemes and playbooks has to be the top priority.

    My second priority would be a weekly wrap up show similar to NFL Live or NFL Gameday Final. I'd like to see highlights from the key games, divisional/conference standing displays, key injury updates, playoff races, mvp race, etc... Adding these things would really add to the level of immersion in CCM versus a Play Now game. I would also like to see the crowds level of excitement be dynamic in regards to if the game is a pre-season game, reg season, div rival, Playoffs, Super Bowl. The crowd needs to get louder, the bigger the game gets.



    I would also like to see a better menu layout with transactions and other important items easy to find.

    An improved draft presentation including a mock draft, would also be nice, including a scouting system based on the senior bowl and combine.

      Honestly I would have to say the ability to hire / fire coaches, not just coordinators but also line backing coaches, stuff like that and each coach can obviously have their own ability. You should be able to offer head coaches the position of a D Coordinator etc.

      I agree with you where there should be some sort of wrap up each week, just so we know where the rest of the league stands without checking the bland and boring standings table every week. It should also have a past Superbowl winners list so you can view all the Superbowl winners in history and then whoever wins one in your career, they will be added there too.

        Practice Mode needs to be more than just XP for you to distribute. The "first team" Off/Def is you starters. So why not make the backups the team you scrimmage in the situations? Also based on their play, they get XP, and it becomes a bonus when they are called up to due to injured starter in game. The 7th round LB plays well in practice, and special teams, developing and gets reps in the game and possible battle for starting spot.

          Hopefully we'll see a multi-user ccm offline.

          Also, by the end of the year you should be able to add plays, formations, new plays and sub formations for the year to improve your scheme.

          Things like player morale and locker room/ on field presence should influence who you make team captain, the signing of old vets and whether a team resigns a player or trade them away. Of course, each should affect players overall and impact the teams overall (sort of like player roles).

          One last thing I would also like to see is press conferences during the offseason, preseason, during the playoff race and throughout the whole playoffs even Super Bowl week.

            The ability to stop scouting a player would help so we don't have a long list of players we no longer have interest in.

            During a fantasy draft and off season draft we should be able to rank players and put them into a queue so just in case we run out of time, there is a disconnect, or EA's server drops our player will be selected.

              To me the most important 'addition' would be the return of full customisation and 32 team (coach) control to offline CCM from one console, allowing the user to dictate all personelle moves , depth charts and to play or sim each game individually
              More realistic tuning of the sim -stat engine or ideally sliders to manually tune to taste would also be highly desirable
              Weekly position drills ( simmable mini-games) and a training camp experience all providing XP in addition to practice mode and a reduction in the importance of in-game stats to gain XP would also be more realistic
              Adding co-ordinators ( who bring benefits) , a weekly wrap up show, increasing the scope of player traits to bring player personality (team leader, distraction , over-emotional, etc) , a widening of schemes and their impact , situation subs that save (from practice mode)
              Also a definite must is the ability to use custom playbooks in CCM (and some more plays especially read-option and more gadget plays like HB passes etc )
              Apologies for the length but I could go on and on

                  I really loved the small touches like the twitter feed and stuff and they should really expand that to not only more personalities but some random fan reactions like 2K had in my player.

                  A little hub with NFL.com and maybe a little Profootballtalk type rumor mill would be cool.

                  But the biggest thing for me besides playbook and things like that.. Is why not continue the draft stories? Like we go through the whole season hearing about how great this star QB is but once we draft him he becomes just another player....

                  There should be news stories or twitter comments about how he becomes a bust or maybe even if the incorporate moral and if you have a high profile but or 2 in the first round you start to lose the locker room your assistant coaches and ultimately your job.

                      Smarter XP system(getting XP for positive things that don't show up on stat sheet)

                      Realistic Goals for players - the ones they have now are stupid difficult to reach

                        I love the story lines they made for rookies, but after the draft they just became like every other player. It would be nice to have the in-game commentary mention those guys' names and talk about their storied college career, ala RGIII.

                        Also, I think more flexibility is needed when switching between schemes, specifically 3-4 to 4-3. This offseason, Dallas will be moving to a 4-3 and DWare will be playing DE. Currently, the only way to make DWare a DE in Madden is to put him there in the depth chart... that works fine for user teams, but CPU teams will switch from a 3-4 to 4-3 and keep DWare out of position at ROLB.

                          Replace the XP/Stats/Performance progression system with a realistic progression system.

                          Hire and fire coaching staffs (including positions coaches)
                          Hire and fire scouting staffs
                          Coaches (all coaches, including position coaches) should have NFL Game, player evaluation, and teaching attributes and potentials.
                          Scouting staffs should have player evaluation attributes.
                          Practice schedules for OTA's, training camp, pre season and regular season for both team and individual drills that can be simulated or played if desired.
                          Players actual ratings should be hidden in CCM (except when editing) and players ratings should be represented as a perceived value as a range, or letter grade or some other abstraction that is meaningful.
                          The perceived value should be more or less accurate depending on how good your scouting staff is and how good the coaching staff is at evaluating talent. The perceived value should also become more accurate the longer a player is on your team or in the league.
                          Penalties and Veteran player mentors should have an impact on a players progression.
                          Players should have a dynamic progression curve. What I mean is, some players should progress quickly and then regress quickly, some should progress slowly and then progress later in their careers, while some progress quickly and not regress until late in their careers. Their should be a variation in progression. Some games represent this as a peak age start and peak age end.
                          Total customization should be added. Created players, created teams. And all should be editable at any time even in a current CCM.
                          32 team control should be added back.
                          Multi player on the same console (co-op and separate teams) should be added back.

                          I could go on and on. Make progression realistic. Make coaching staff matter. Make scouting staffs matter. Make ratings matter. Make the game reflect how things are actually done in the NFL (within reason). Stop trying to make up abstract/arcade ways that don't at all translate to how things realistically happen in the NFL.

                          Then their is game play issues that are really for another thread, so I'll skip those.

                            - Being able to put cut players on your practice squad

                            - An active/inactive system

                            - Maybe have traits something gained from achievements instead of bought with XP.
                            (Like if a QB makes multiple a 4th qtr comebacks within a certain amount of games, the clutch trait unlocks for that player.)

                            - Having the ability to hire and fire an actual coaching staff.

                            - BRING POSITION CHANGES BACK!!!

                            - Situational sub packages that can be implemented within CCM.

                            - Custom plays and playbooks.

                            - Some type of show with highlights.

                              • Most importantly, CCM needs custom playbooks in them.
                              • Also, how about the ability to see ALL of the free agents and players during a fantasy draft. Only seeing like 15 per position (sometimes none in a fantasy draft) is absurd
                              • Positional changes
                              • Stories need to be deeper. Current stories are way too one-dimensional and only really explain how a player or team did the previous week without any real examination of who they were playing or implications of the game
                              • Additions of a general manager, coordinators, position coaches
                              • Old Maddens had mini-camps and those were some of my favorite things. They'd be great additions on a bi-weekly basis or at least an off-season thing
                              • More age drop-off for certain positions. There shouldn't be multiple 90+ overall running backs over 35 after a few years.
                              • Ability to change schemes and playbooks mid career



                              I know 2k talk is frowned upon, but there are a lot of features from NBA 2k13 that would fit very well in Madden, like:
                              • During the breaks in the game, it could show the top rushers the past 5 games or team stat rankings in November. Would be a nice little touch to see how your players stack up to the league without having to search through the stats menu. Actually, the perfect place for that would be above the play call screen (if using conventional), hopefully with some appropriate commentary. They never talk while I'm picking my play and it just seems awkward and unrealistic.
                              • For player development, a 'teammate grade' that is focused on much more than stats, but being in the right position, making a good block, filling a gap, or running a sharp route
                              • Big plays aren't always good for XP or progression. A long pass into triple coverage that a WR somehow catches shouldn't give the QB any sort of progression.
                              • Dynamic goals. Add goals in game for completing tasks at a certain point in the game. For example, score a TD on the opening possession, or hold opponent to 3 and out when losing in the 4th. Would work for coaches as well: win next 2 games against division rivals to take division lead
                              • Make traits actually worth a damn. And add more of them. For example, a West Coast QB trait that adds +5 to a WR's elusiveness or break tackle for catches inside 10 yards. Or a trait for a punter that makes it more likely for a punt to bounce backwards instead of right into the endzone
                              • Animations that I can choose. Pregame rituals, QB throwing motion, WR stance, etc. Famous players' animations and other cool ones can cost XP to unlock

                              Yeah, that's a lot, and I'm sure I'll think of more. It's a good game mode, it's just missing a ton of features
