My God, 2K11 with minimal tweaks in settings and sliders plays an unbelievably good game of basketball compared to 2K13. I can actually defend the paint, and don't have to worry about the likes of Lebron or <ST1
Kobe</ST1
slashing (warping) through the entire defense for dunk after dunk. I can actually defend the hoop, and block layups, dunks, you name it. The foul system actually works which leads to several free throw opportunities and players getting in foul trouble. Imagine this, a basketball game actually playing like a basketball game should!<O

Hell, I played a game last night where I was <?xml:namespace prefix = st1 ns = "urn:schemas-microsoft-com
Phoenix</ST1
</st1:City> on the road against Philly. God dangit if they didn't feed Bynum the ball over and over again to pwn Gortat! He used move after move, and truly showed some "Big Man" skill. They played to exploit a mismatch, and Bynum dominated the paint, both on offense and defense. If I tried to drive, he was there and would block my shot and wreak havoc like a big man should.<O

There were no "magical runs" by the cpu to make the game feel scripted. When the runs occurred, it was because either I or the cpu was turning the ball over or missing well defended shots. I was also having trouble timing my free throw shots, and trading 1's for 2's and 3's was a quick recipe to get behind. Once again, Bynum owned the paint, and made it hell for me to score. He did end up with 5 fouls, but also had 27 points and was the player of the game.<O

My point in this semi-rant is that 2K can "pretty" up a game all they want, or even bring in a headliner like Jay-Z to make the soundtrack (sorry - didn't do it for me - 2K11 soundtrack dominates), BUT IT'S THE GAME PLAY THAT MATTERS MOST! You heard me right, game play is still king! Get back on track 2K, and give us players the game play we deserve as your well paying customers. To steal a line from Snoop, "2K11 best game ever made"! OUT!<O
