How often do you start a new Connected Career?
Title says it all. Do yo find yourself constantly starting a new Career after completing a season in another file? Why?Tags: None -
Re: How often do you start a new Connected Career?
I switch all the time, its a bad habit. I keep trying to CCM a defensive player but they aren't quite involved enough to play 100%. I do the same thing with a QB ccm though...I usually switch after a few games because I'm tired of trying to call a balanced game plan when my RB has the awareness and vision of a baked potato. He'll have a massive gap off to the right and purposely run straight at the wall of defenders to the right.
I could play a coach CCM for ever if they let you control offensive players other than the QB. I used to have so much fun as a fullback crunching defenders and then switching to the RB. Don't get me wrong I enjoy playing QB but I really miss being able to play a RB/WR/TE and control the entire franchise.
I have no idea why they removed this but it's really sad they removed a fun feature. -

Every time I create one I have an urge to start fresh with a different team, I need to try and not too.Comment

Re: How often do you start a new Connected Career?
I still at this point have never finished a season, and I am starting to think its because of my OCD issues, everything has to be perfect so my problems are
1) after every week I have new favorite teams and least favorite teams
2) I have to get a good draft class
3) I have to have realistic sliders
4) I have to have realistic stats
5) I must draft a WR/HB/QB/CB with my 1st Rnd pick
6) I must play with a bad team
7) If I crush a team (ie. 35-17) or if I beat a team alot better than me, I quit.
Thats pretty much it, at the beginning of the year when I get madden, I always start a franchise, but its funny cause that franchise I always get to a higher week than if I started one now
Examples:
Madden 11: Jaguars (9-7 Wild Card Round)
Madden 12: Cardinals (13-3 Divisional Round)
Madden 13: Panthers (2-5 week 8!)
and then here are franchises I started midway through the year
Madden 11: Dolphins (Week 4)
Madden 12: Eagles (Week 10)
Madden 13: Patriots (Week 4)Comment

Re: How often do you start a new Connected Career?
I have the same problem. If I dont draft well or if I dont like where a free agent signed I get all pissed and want to start over.
I am really trying to teach myself not too. There will always be something you dont like that happens and it could always be worse.Comment

Re: How often do you start a new Connected Career?
I'm chronically bad about this--I've never finished a single season in any Madden franchise.
Somehow, though, I broke the seal in a Raiders franchise thanks to a combination of Jarrod's and KBlover's sliders, which gave the game an "any given Sunday" feel.
I'm now in the last leg of season three, and I'm hooked. I couldn't imagine switching. Making the commitment to get through the first off-season is all it takes to get you hooked. Once you draft your first set of players and see them on the field in the pre-season, it's tough to go back.
I got 2 franchise-caliber cornerstone players on defense through 2 drafts, and some solid starting-caliber talent on the OL and WR corps.
Adding to that, seeing teams evolve through their own drafts and FA periods is fun. I let Lamar Houston walk after a Pro Bowl season because I didn't want to pay him. KC got him, and he just injured my QB. Love the irony. Mike Mitchell was also a victim of my miserliness, and he wound up in DEN, where he laid out McFadden for several weeks.Comment

Re: How often do you start a new Connected Career?
I always switched after a season or two in Madden 09 and 10 due to player progression being completely ******** but in Madden 13 I started a coaching connected career and I've been hooked and i'm in the middle of season four and simming the first season.Comment
