    What is the best system/way to rate players from the past that youve never seen play?

    Hi guys. I was wondering what your opinion was on how to rate players from the past for a "clasic teams" version of NHL 13. Lets say you wanted to rate Rocket Richard, how would you do it based on only his stats? Or other lesser known players? Any advice appreciated!!!

        I tried this last year with NHL 12.
        I used Hockey Reference's Points Shares system to rate players.
        Basically I did a calculation to get their Point shares per game and then used that to compare players.
