After trade, can't get to AHL line screen

This is irking me a bit, because it seems certain conditions don't trigger it. After say a trade, it may tell be blab blah lines are invalid.. So I click the edit lines, and it takes me to my NHL lines. Ok.. I try to hit the button to switch to my AHL lines "Your AHL lines are invalid" and it gives me the option to manually change lines or best lines.

If I click manually change lines, it sticks me back on the NHL line screen. My only option is to click 'best lines'. I also realized you can't get directly to the AHL line screen from the roster screen, even if you hit triangle/y to switch to NHL and then go to edit lines.

This happens if, while making changes, you forget to have the correct amount dressed/scratched on the AHL team, when you back out and try to get back in it will lock you onto the NHL line screen.

This doesn't seem to happen when you are presented with an injury, as it will take you directly to the AHL line screen, however if you have too many scratched it will occur.

Bothersome because I know how the game likes to sometimes switch on it's own, so I've created spreadsheets of my roster and who is on every line on both AHL and NHL so I can track production and who would benefit from being called up/down. While this has made it easier to fix, it makes mid-season trades and moves a real pain in the *** when I have to go through and edit every line every time.

Anyone stumble on this and know a workaround?

Happens very often for me, and it's really annoying.
Definitely a bug that EA should fix. Hahaha yeah, like they would do that! It's EA we are talking about, so i don't think it will get fixed

I have same problem, just vice cersa, it always takes me to my AHL lines and doesn't let me switch to my NHL lines, so I have to do a Best Lines which pisses me off cause then I have to re-do EVERYTHING.

My solution, if I get a trade I like, I scratch that player first, and fill his spot with someone else that was scratched, then trade him, since he's already scratched, no line problems.

Anybody know a solution to this? Just happened to me and it's going to be very annoying changing lines before every game

Go to Roster Moves and hit Y to highlight one of your minor team's player and hit X to go edit lines. Not sure if it works in this situation but worth a try.

Bring an AHL player up to the NHL and then back down to the AHL in the roster screen.
