If I remember correctly, we got some gameplay videos for MLB 12 around two weeks before its release. So that got me thinking, will we get a first glimpse at the final gameplay footage this week?

Gameplay videos last year werent released until the week of the street date on March 1st.

This was Feb 21st, so I guess we have 3 more days.
Considering that vid was from a deleted YT account, there was no way to track it.
And those video were posted by early users and not SCEA themselves.

PS channel only has 3/1 vids and OS channel virtually has none.

Yep, it was mentioned in another thread. Last year videos went up on Feb 21st, the Tuesday two weeks before release. So I'd expect videos to perhaps get posted on Feb 19th, two weeks before release this year. The game is coming out 2 days earlier than last year since like most game it always drops on a Tuesday.

Although one of the sites that posted videos last year, Gametrailers, has had zero videos for MLB 13 this year so maybe they won't post anything this year?

Last year the game was released on 3/6. This year its 3/5.

2012 was a leap year so tuesday was Feb 19th last year. This year its Feb 21st. If it wasn't for the leap year it would have come out on 3/7 last year.

So I guess not really 2 days earlier, not sure exactly what that means now that I think about it. Not 2 days early, but...nevermind I'm confused now.

Well you also have to think about that there is no Feb 29th this year.

i just want to see more explanation of RTTS, they said franchise and RTTS got the biggest changes, we've seen chise now lets see the RTTS goodness!

I'm hoping it's not a bad sign that there's no gameplay vids with commentary or anything. I'm guessing either the commentary really hasn't been improved at all or there are just so many new presentation elements to this game, that they're trying to hide any gameplay from us to keep us surprised until it's released.

I think that is because of the way the blogs roll out. The CD guys don't want to give any info until those drop, at least that is what I see posted in the CD threads and why people are eager for the blogs. I've never been a fan of the drawn out media cycles. The Show has a relatively short one since its a yearly game, but some games have absurdly long media cycles where info is trickled out over a year or two.
