    R.A. Dickey

How is it pitching with him this year? I'm contemplating doing a Jays franchise when I get the game, but only if it's possible to succeed with him. With guys like Tim Wakefield in past games, I've never been able to have any success with them. I've never used Dickey before, so I'm just wondering if it's hard to do well with him, or if he's comparable to other pitchers with a similar rating?

All I'm gonna say is...I'm glad he is off the Mets so I don't have to pitch with him lol.

I just played a game with him on Jays and its honestly kind of boring after awhile. I mean all you do is hit the knuckleball pitch and throw down the middle...He's a great pitcher though and I did win the game, but if I was to use the Jays as a franchise I would probably just skip his starts after awhile lol

It seems to me as if the knuckleball underwent something of an overhaul. It controls a lot better now and actually looks like it does in real life. It'll still dance and on occasional be uncontrollable, but for the most part it's a lot more realistic and you can actually be somewhat consistent with it when pitching.

I just wanted to say I hate R.A dickey. I lose almost every game I play against him. People use him every time. He starts out on 0 energy and throws that knuckle ball almost every pitch. I hate it

No joke. Three straight years of using Dickey in The Show and I'm glad that I don't have to use him this year.

Started out tough to pitch with him but by the 5thtime I threw a no hitter for the first time in 3 years. Key is 95% knuckles but move location around and the occasional change/fastball either as a first pitch or knockout pitch

How does he specifically regress after year one franchise? We just signed him for 3 years.

He usually retires after Season 1 for me.

I used him last night didn't do to bad. Why did The Show give him a 4S fast ball? I agree the Knuckleball of his way easier to control then Tim Wakefields used to be. The Blue Jays are a team I'd consider in what could be a fun and interesting AL East this year.

yeah it was tough at first but i found you need to hit different spots around the strike zone to be effective just like with any pitcher if you just put it in the same spot its more likely to be hit more...like with a pitcher with a good fastball where you can get them chasing the high strike for strike 3 i find same goes with his knuckleball... if you are accurate with it it hits its spots most of the times as in real life Dickey can control it almost better than any other knuckler in history.

Threw a 1H CG SHO with him already.

I wouldn't want to have to hit against Charlie Hough in the 1984 classic roster edition. Running fastball close to 90 with a 65 knuckler. It was unfair. 4 hit shutout easily my best outing in a while. 25MPH difference is too extreme I would think.
