Re: roy halladay
I haven't seen the game, but IRL, his repertoire and effectiveness are BOTH going downhill fast. I hope he can get back to his old self, but it doesn't look good.
Anyway, he should have: (in order of effectiveness)
1. 2-seamer (which is pretty much his sinker)
2. Cutter
3. Splitter (which is his changeup)
4. Curveball
So, if that's what he has in the game, that's pretty good attention to detail by them -

They're using a different data provider than in the past, so pitch repertoires should be much closer to real life this year.Impact de Montréal

Re: roy halladay
Yeah, I saw that, a 76 or 77 mph 2-seamer. There are some pitchers, Kimbrel included, who really throw just two pitches in real life based on what I get from Brooks Baseball website. However, in the game, every pitcher must have at least 3 pitch types.Comment

Re: roy halladay
lol yeah it cracks me up, AND gives me hell in RTTS practice. If they are gonna do a 3 pitch minimum at least make it comparable to his 4 seamer.Comment

Re: roy halladay
Maybe it's a goof and they meant to give him a 96 or 97 mph 2-seamer. I much prefer they either give just the 2 pitch types actually thrown or allow us to edit it to 2 pitch types.Comment

Re: roy halladay
Just like Motte and Rivera should only have 2 pitches. Cutter/4 seamer. I laughed when they gave Motte a splitter and changeup last year. I can live with a 2 seamer to make up a 3rd pitch though.Comment
