Anyone have any insight to how exactly this works? For example, for the Sunday night opener, will the lineups and pitching matchups be set before the game, or will it updated after the game ends?

The Show Live?
Looking forward to using this feature, but I'm noticing that all of the pitching matchups still look off (Bedard vs. Perez in the opener Sunday is not correct).

Re: MLB Live?
I wonder how accurate it'd be though. Unless changes made last min or something, pitching matchups are known like 3-4 days in advance. And hopefully "yesterday" lineups are used for the next days game if they aren't able to get the correct lineup(since lineups aren't usually posted on mlb.com till an hour or so before game starts?)Comment

Re: MLB Live?
The only thing we know is that they are supposed to pull data from the mlb.com feeds. So whatever that means.EASHL 360: OS Knights D/CComment

Wonder how this gonna work. Ronny Cedeño was picked up late. Also Brandon Barnes made the team which he isn't on the online rosters. Will this mean he have to get at bat to show up in The Show.PSN: Dreamchaser_865

Re: MLB Live?
My hope is that if a rookie is starting, they wait until just after first pitch to update the MLB Live roster with that rookie playing. At that point, there shouldn't be an MLBPA problem, right?Comment

Re: MLB Live?
From the explanation, the rosters/lineups come directly from MLB.com. So, when they are updated, it should come through. If you go to the lineups on MLB.Com, they are showing as not available, but the Probable Pitching Matchup is. So, that would make sense that the pitching matchup was updated, but not the lineups.
This is a guess, and not meant to be the definitive answer.Last edited by Millennium; 03-31-2013, 11:08 AM.Comment

Re: MLB Live?
Hopefully this is time of day that night games get updated by.
Pitching matchups I guess also won't be updated till day of game. Cause doesn't look like opening day starters are updated.
Indians-Jays game I know it's Masterson vs Dickey, but the game has it Matsuzaka vs Romero(neither of which are on MLB rosters)
Wonder how they'd go about it on days where some games start at 1pm, others start at 7pm. Do they try to update all at once, or diff times of day...Guess we'll have to wait and find out.
I wouldn't mind how updated it was, if we were able to edit lineups/pitching matchups ourselves.Last edited by Majingir; 03-31-2013, 03:33 PM.Comment

Yeah, they're not likely to update pitchers till gameday due to late scratches and whatnot.Hopefully this is time of day that night games get updated by.
