Franchise Question

Let me start by just apologizing if this has been asked before. I looked in the threads and could not find it. I also skipped last years game so a lot of new stuff to get used to.

I downloaded the OSFM rosters and am trying to start a franchise. I use 30 team manual control all on the same profile (I just like to control everything just crazy I guess), now when I look at lineups and rotations they are accurate during spring training but then when I start the year all the guys that are injured in real life pop up on the teams (that is guys on the bench during the spring like A-Rod, Granderson). Is there anyway to have these guys start the year on the DL or in the minors and same lineups and rotation as set during the spring once the year starts other then doing it manually?

And a related question; I have read about people manually placing players on DL when starting a franchise. How is this done I see no option on the Roster control screen or computer roster control screen or team DL team?

Okay I apologize I found this answer in the guide thread and it seems to work:

You simply need to remove players 26-40 from the 40 man roster before you even enter franchise mode. Once spring training ends, you can add your players back; for the other 29 teams, the CPU will rebuild the 40 man rosters itself.

Still can't put players on the DL. I tried the directions in the guide but does not seem to work. I have 30 team control and do not mind managing them all.

You can turn Injuryes on manual then injure the players you want to be injured (by going to the DL page and its R1 or R2 to get to the injury part) then you put them on the DL your self.

And by that you just go to the DL page and click their names and it should let you do it

Thanks for the reply this what I thought I had to do but does not seem to work?
I did this:

1) start franchise with 30 team control all same profile
2) Go to user settings Gameplay General set injury to manual
3) Go to user settings mode specific set injury management to manual
4) Go to Disabled List page press L1 and R1 ---- nothing happens?

Sorry again I am sure its some kind of easy fix I am just missing.

I am having this issue as well. Put 30 team control, with the same profile on each team because i want to conttrol everything each team does. set both injuries and well as handling injuries to manual. go to the DL screen and hit R1 and/or L1 and nothing happens. have tried before spring training and after spring training and nothing happens either way.

My guess is that both of you turned Roster Control on before you started your franchise. This disables any type of injuries. But I could be totally wrong.

I believe i did set it up to control the computers team in the front end when i set up the franchise which i didnt think would matter since i was putting all 30 teams under my control. i will try starting a new league when i get home and see if that solves the problem. thanks.

Jut to be sure are you putting the injuries on manual and Injury management on manual? You find the Injuries option under settings then going to game play and hitting L1 once i believe. And the injury management is under mode specific which you probably know. The first part screwed me up.

yeah i had them both set to manual, but if controlling the rosters disables injuries from happening i imagine thats what the problem is. just gotta check when i get home which is still 5 long hours away

Guys with the DL problem.

As long as you chose all 30 teams and DID NOT choose to turn on CPU ROSTER CONTROL(doing this disables injuries and trades....I wish they would remove it....it's the "old" way of 30 team control)..
Then just make sure that you set the profile with injuries on MANUAL ..is...USE AS DEFAULT

Thanks Knight. This is what I did and I think why its not working. I want to control everything so will just make sure injured guys stay in the minors.
