Can the Knicks go all the to ECF and beyond

there has been a lot of talk lately about the Knicks and the possibility of them making a deep playoff run. They have played extremely well as of late and are starting to look like the team that begun this season. carmelo is ballin out of his mind, jr smith is the sixth man of the year (IMO) chandler is back from injury and the three point shooting is great. if they were to finish with the second seed which they probably will. they would not have to see the heat until the ECF and they would most probably play boston in the first round (which i think the knicks can beat) and indiana in the 2nd which would be a great series but i also think they could beat indiana. what do u guys think ?

    It's possible.

They're playing great right at the time when you wanna be playing your best basketball, but the road will be tough. Boston and Indiana who they'll most likely meet to get to the ECF... Indy to play Atlanta in the first round, not a cakewalk but not Boston either, who idc what seed they are, I wouldn't wanna play Boston. It's crazy cause they're doing this all without Amare' as well.

I don't think however they can get out of the East. Beating Miami 4x is something I don't see any Eastern Conference team doing. That, "will" to not allow your team to lose is something I witness LeBron gain last year in the playoffs and since he's found it, he's been playing his absolute best basketball. Now, asking if I think the Knicks can beat Boston, then Indiana, then Miami... something I can't see, but would love for it to happen, Kidd has got to get a ring.

If they play Boston, I could see them losing in the first round.

They're not getting past Miami either way.

I health is a huge. I really hope the Nets and Knicks get to play in the playoffs this season. It would be so great for each team (More the Nets).

Celtics will beat them if they happen to meet in the first round.

They are still too one dimensional and rely on the 3 ball too heavily, which is why they are so streaky.

^^ That's my only problem with this team ^^

They are either going to be the 2009 Magic or 2011 Mavs. The Celtics will be a tough series though.

I'd rather them win a playoff series first before talking about how far they can go.

But I will say I like their chances of getting that done now than I have in year's past.

I think the Knicks have the best chance of beating the Heat in the entire league. You need a super-elite presence inside defensively to even begin to have a chance and they have that in Chandler. Some hot 3 point shooting, which they are more tham capable of, and big games from Carmelo and they could pull it off. The only other teams with the defensive presence inside to even think about beating Miami are the Lakers (who have no actual chance because, well, lets be real), Chicago/Boston (both lacking the offense without Rose/Rondo) and San Antonio (though im not completely sold on them beating able to beat an OKC or Miami 4 times out of 7).

Though the more likely option is LeBron shuts down Carmelo when it matters and the Heats 3 point shooting/LeBrons passing pick them apart on the other end and Miami wins in 5 or 6.
