The *Infinity Engine 1.0 won an award?

I hope that is a self-claimed statement that is artificially true.

No awards were awarded for that junk that I know of. Yea it was cool at first but it's ultimately made players after the whistle was blown look stupid.

            Wait......"1st time ever" combo moves?

This was marketed/advertised earlier (I think M10) through "Branched/linked" Animation System and was praised as the Next Best Thing.

False marketing at it's best (until someone calls them on it in a lawsuit...)

I have this feeling with the way EA just injects stuff in their game, that this "Modifier" is a POOR copy attempt of NBA 2k's modifier feature.

Notice how they keep going back and forth between Offense and Defense with each release....

Even what they advertise as New Defensive injections is geared towards highlighting the Offensive Run Game they're marketing.

A "Pass Rush" by the DE/3-4 OLB's is the foundation that all defense schemes are predicated upon, yet "NO" mention about fixing what has been beaten to death this console with "Both" their so-called versions of football.

            Buyer "Beware", you've been warned!!!

Probably should just hang on to playing M13 release if you're thinking there will be a big difference between M25 and M13.

The only sure fact is this: it is the beginning of the end. Or is it the end of the beginning?

However way you put it, this years title is such a brevity in that we will not only have a clean slate of consoles but also a clean slate of Madden on those new consoles, only the date is PTBD.

Might as well ride the choo-choo.

Man, this is why I want to see how this translates over to Special Teams, especially CPU KR/PR. With all the User assists being offered, I wonder if someone User controlling Jacoby Jones on a KR/PR, could just not touch the stick and the CPU/AI would take over. I know it's all about playing the game yourself but it would add a fun element to Special Teams in User v User games and make signing a great returner of interest to everyone, even without superior stick skill.

In fact, I am going to lobby for a KR/PR assist button, lol.

You're referring to branch tackling, introduced in Madden NFL 09. That basically provided the ability to fight out of a tackle animation, rather than the interaction being "won" or "lost" at the point of contact. The window of opportunity to break out of a contested tackle animation (and success in attempting to do so) varies depending on a player's ratings.

The system being introduced here is an intuitive way to chain ballcarrier tackle-breaking / tackle-avoiding moves together, in addition with a more reactive stamina system to manage risk/reward of attempting such. The system also includes a plethora of new moves with which to break and avoid tacklers via the precision modifier key in combination with the legacy ball-carrier move inputs.

There's a clear distinction to be made there. It's not false marketing. You've misinterpreted the new feature set.

I believe in the current Madden if you just don't do anything at the snap or kick, the CPU returns the ball for you.

And on a side note, I am willing to lobby for an entire special teams assist button. The performance gap between what the User and CPU can do is so far apart that I don't want a part in any of it.

This is what I'm waiting for! His jukes/broken tackles don't take a year to complete, in Madden right now if you did that many jukes the whole team would have caught up with him.

It sounds like I'll be able to play as RG3, juke every possible direction but due to them tuning the Infinity Engine correctly, my lower leg from the knee won't actually wobble like a limp noodle at the end of the play.

                              That's cool.
I'm still playing NCAA 14 and Madden 25...and you know, it's alright.
