2013 Western Conf. Finals: San Antonio Spurs vs. Memphis Grizzlies

Either payback for my 24th and his Spurs for what happened in '11 or Tehova and The Nation take their first ever trip to the NBA Finals. Should be great series.

I want the Grizzlies to win, and think they have a good shot. Randolph matched up against Timmy will be very fun to watch. The Spurs will have an advantage at PG and SG though.

Prediction: Spurs in 7 - Parker and Ginobili are too much to handle in the clutch.

If the Grizzlies can shut them down, they can easily win in 6 or 7.

7game series. I think Memphis wins in the end and goes to beat Miami in the finals.

Either way I'am happy. I'am relieved. No OKC in the finals. No OKC - Miami in the finals. Theses where the most boring/embarassing finals I had seen.

This year it will be a serie of two very different styles wether it is the Spurs or Memphis.

thats stupid as hell to have a 3 day gap between games 2 and 3. smh

anyway, im taking the Spurs in 7. i think Ginobli will be the key. he has to play well in this series to win. Duncan-Randolph and Parker-Conley matchups will pretty much break even in the end.

Grizzlies have a little of that 04 Pistons feel which I enjoy. I hope the Heat are the 04 Lakers.

Duncan/Ginobli/Parker have had their time. Go Grizzlies.

This Grizz team aint nothin like the Pistons though... Gasol and ZBO are two of the best bigs in the world... Pistons never had any of the best players at their positions unless you say Ben Wallace. But I don't think he was...

It's going to be a a bloodbath in the paint.

But in all seriousness, I think there are similarities. Maybe not by actual personnel but Conely is Billups esque the way he plays the pick and roll and creates off the dribble and can hit big 3s.

The main similarity is the way they play defense on the perimeter and defend the paint, which is what I was mostly referring to.

Also forgot about Rasheed, who could play with his back to the basket like Randolph.

Ahh you're right about the defensive part. And actually I do think Conley is Billupsing it up a bit.

Scheduling aside, this should be a good series.

I think Memphis is best suited to oust Miami, so I will hope Memphis wins.
