Arm length?

I apologize if this topic has already been discussed - I don't visit this site frequently.

I have long believed that NBA 2k should add arm length as an "attribute" (for lack of a better word).

Players like Anthony Davis and Rajon Rondo have ridiculously long arms for players of their height. This allows them to be a force on defense (Davis as a shot blocker and Rondo playing the passing lanes). Adding a arm length option would allow a 6 10 player like davis to play like a player much taller.

What's everyone elses thoughts on this?

yea like 500000 posts saying we need wing span have been made for this year alone!

with the next gen consoles there is no reason to not have it

Its really a travesty. Especially next year cause alligator arms Tyler Zeller will have longers arms than Taj Gibson if this isn't added. Thats just one example.

And that ridiculous 7'9"wingspan. If he can develop a decent offensive post game he's a walking mismatch on both ends of the floor

i consider him a yao ming but shorter and with freakishly long arms. 7'2+ with litteraly no ability to jump lol

I'm of the opinion that they just can't add it to current gen without causing a wealth of problems, but that shouldn't apply to the Xbone and PS4.

hence why i said shorter freakishly long arms..sure hes athletic but he only had like a 20 inch or so vertical...but ofc if 2k had wingspan and reach he could have a 1 rated vert and still be dunking

Thabts an embarrassing vert for a guard but that's decent for a big man not freakishly athletic. Athleticism isn't just a vert. I also wonder if that is low because hes French and not used to those tests.

its possible, because during the combine they talked about how some guys test for the combine drills specifically.


no its not bad for a bigman,.,...except for when its one of the worst verts in the combined

Also use real verticals "in inches"

lebron has a 40" but i bet shane larkins 42" or w/e max vert will get him a 70 vertical haha!
