Has anyone seen this in the show live?

So I started the game today between the Indians and the Yankees.

Everything starts fine right up to the first pitch then the Yankees sub in Micheal bourn into right field. Yet Micheal bourn is my first batter.

This doesn't even begin to make sense..... Let alone he is on the other team, Cano is already number 24.....

Did you use the current 6/3 roster?

there used to be a glitch with the show live (I dont know if it got fixed) that you have to load the current roster after leaving the "show live" or the default rosters will be used

OK, you DLd the rosters, but did you load it?
You gotta load the current roster before you play TSL.

I'm sorry, but I think anything can happen with Live whether you download the current live roster or not. It's frustrating and disappointing that there were no instructions included nor has there been any SCEA feedback to explain the procedures to ensure Live to work properly.

I carefully follow every step that has been explained by others here when preparing to play Live and every time, yes, every time I encounter some weird occurrence that makes me shake my head.

I love the concept of the Show so I have grown accustomed to just ignore the oddities. I have confidence though the boys at SCEA will continue to strengthen this feature.

It was actually Lance_L, a Developer, that told me you have to load the current roster when playing this mode.
I think Russell also left that comment as well in a post.

Ok, page 17, post 165, a mentioning, so I stand corrected (don't read any cynicism, just commenting that there isn't an explicit set of instructions for the feature's set up procedure).

Thanks for bringing this to my attention; nonetheless, I always load the live roster and still get a weird occurrence every time. But like I said earlier, I accept the imperfections and play through it. What I truly hope is that this feature continues to be honed in future editions and not dropped eventually.

I personally play this mode, imperfections and all, 95ish% of the time.

As with any new mode, you gotta expect bugs and glitches.
I feel that we have always been the focus group here at OS to help them find these imperfections and Im fine with that.

What weird occurrences are you experiencing, even with loading the Live Roster?

If this was 2K, would we give them the same pass that we are SCEA?

MLB Live has been a failure. The lineups are inaccurate (I understand the issue with rookies being called up mid-week but this is why SCEA needs a living roster update instead of weekly), the closer spot for the CPU is often times filled by a starting pitcher.

The commentary is no different than if I were to play an Exhibition game. No mention of current standings, hot/cold streaks or anything to immerse you into the mode. OSD's aren't frequent enough.

                      Incorrect weather is another hindrance.

Glad that The Show has an MLB Today-type mode, but wish it would've been better executed. As it stands now, I can't play it without getting frustrated.

#1 - This isnt 2K and comparing the 2 is pointless. Thats why we all play The Show.
#2 - With using the current roster, I have never seen inaccurate lineups, other than the rookie call-ups as you mentioned.
#3 - I never expected the commentary to be any better, we all know it sucks across the board. Why should TSL be any different.
#4 - One thing about TSL that has always impressed me is the dynamic weather conditions, so while Im not sure what you are seeing or not seeing, I was thoroughly impressed to see the weather in TSL as it was in the real game. Obviously if the weather changes from one to the other in the real game, I wouldnt expect it to change in TSL.
#5 - Back to my original point. Every mode in its rookie season experiences imperfections. Its the nature of the beast.
We can choose to deal with it, report it properly or not play it all.

Ive chosen to do the first 2.

Comparing the two games is not pointless. The Show has a game mode very similar to what 2K has rolled out for years. If you were to take the issues MLB Live and transport them into MLB 2K, there's no question that 2K would get destroyed for having "TBD" in its lineups or having Ivan Nova as the Yankees closer.

I didn't have unrealistic expectations with commentary, but I do recall interviews pre-release stating that the commentary in MLB Live would discuss what a player/team had done recently, and I hear none of that.

Shouldn't the weather match what the game's conditions are/were? If I'm playing a Rockies game and it was 75 degrees and sunny outside but pop in The Show and it's 40 degrees, overcast and everyone is wearing long sleeves isn't an accurate depiction of game conditions.

I'm glad you can enjoy the mode in its current form. I tried my best to play along but the issues now are too glaring for me to look past.

It's not the one game that gives SCEA a pass like this over 2k,, it's pedigree plain and simple.

SCEA consistently turns out great game after great game, 2k does not. Therefor SCEA earns some leeway with consumers 2k doesn't.

It would be the same if SCEA came out with a basketball game next year and it was full of glitches and 2k's basketball game had since bugs.

Because of their basketball pedigree of consistently turning out a great game every year 2k would get the consumer leeway and SCEA would not.

Pretty simple if you ask me.

Also on point, what would it matter if it was a up to date roster if Michael Bourn isn't on the Yankees in that roster either?
