NBA 2K14 - players that should be in the game

players like reggie miller, charles barkley, young vince carter , bring back kareem, chris webber, yao ming, young tmac. even if it meant that it was downloadable content i still think alot of people would pay for it. who are some other players you would like to see

Well, for starters, have everyone that is on a NBA team right now. Don't care if they come off the bench every 10 games, if they are signed, they have to be in the game.

Definitely would love to see more classic teams, particularly from the 90s and early 2000s. Im still waiting for Reggie Miller to be in a 2k game!

I hope the '01 Kings classic team w /Peja is in and Brian Cardinal is in so I can continue to recreate the 2011 NBA Finals :P

Too many players to list that I want in the game. Teams are easier....

2K should take a look at how great the ultimate base roster is on PC and use that as an example. Sooooo many legendary teams on there with just about every classic player you could think of. Pity it's not for 2k13 or i'd snap it up.

I'd also be willing to pay for DLC classic add ons. Especially if it were (Keep dreaming) entire retro season mods.

I just posted this literally two minutes ago but the old Carter and McGrady Raptors. I would pay for that team with no second thoughts! Also a young Hakeem and Ralph Sampson combo from the mid-80s. Can't forget the Bol and Buggsy Bullets.

I second the Sampson/Olajuwon Rockets.

I would also really like to see the 99-00 Blazers (Stacey Augmon, J. O'Neal, Pippen, Sabonis, Schrempf, Steve Smith, D. Stoudamire, and Rasheed Wallace), which is a team that would never be put in 2K.

The 96-97 Rockets also come to mind (Barkley, Drexler, Olajuwon, Willis).

Any 90s Pacers team, maybe 97-98 (Miller, Smits, Davis Bros., Mullin, J. Rose, Mark Jackson).

Also, one of the Garnett/Marbury T'Wolves teams from the late 90s.

I would pay for the current NBA teams featuring their real rosters...but some less known classic teams would be pretty cool. But I wouldn't count on 2k adding teams the 80s Mavs, since they didn't even manage to get the already existing ones right. What's the point of the C-Webb Kings without Chris Webber? So we get to play with prime Doug Christie?
Maybe it costs licensing money. Too bad the money was wasted on Bieber and Jay-Z instead...

But what I would absolutely love is maybe including the finals matchups of as many years as possible. I mean the only issue is money, since virtually every team of the last 30 years has been recreated at least with decent authenticity on the UBR project. So if 2k spent the cash on player likenesses, they could literally copy&paste everything from already existing work free available for everyone.

Now they couldn't even manage to do this with fixed playbooks in 2k13, let alone getting at least the current 30 teams right. So I'm not exactly optimistic about 2k adding any worthwile content to rosters.

...What's the point of the C-Webb Kings without Chris Webber?...

It's been discussed to death why Barkley isn't in the game...but because of the good point you brought up, just make the '93 Suns without Barkley. There are Chris Webber CAPs for 2K13's historic Kings team, and the same could be done with the Suns--I put a Barkley CAP on 2K12's historic 76er team. We all know about the demand for Barkley and the '93 Suns; I say if Barkley doesn't want to be on board, then fine--but go ahead and include that Suns team without him.
