Re: What's the Grade?
I give it a solid B. Gameplay is excellent though the bugs in the first month were annoying. I think offseason mode needs to be streamlined. It can be a huge pain. -
Re: What's the Grade?
I'm happy with absolutely everything except the actual gameplay. New presentation, new "look" of the interfaces, scorebar, etc... new menu layout, new franchise mode, etc...
- The RTTS mode as a whole is stellar, both on and off the field.
- Game is pretty bug-free
A bunch of amazing changes were made
But things like fielders not covering bases, not backing up each other, missing sub options, no wheel play... all the way down to ball physics, and catchers and outfielders still moving like they were members of the Justice League... and some of these issues are even bigger/more noticeable than they were in previous years (for example, previous years had better base coverage and defensive assistance).

I don't pay enough attention to notice some of the things that Bob head points out, but I'd give it a 8.5 overall. I like the changes to the hitting and have been pretty happy overall. The two negatives I find, the baserunning glitch of slowing down and I wish we could adjust infielder and outfielder run speed separately. This way it doesn't seem like my infielders are stuck in mud because I have to turn it down so the outfielders don't get to everything.

Re: What's the Grade?
C+
Prefer 11 and 12
MLB 13 should have gave players the choice to have commentary in RTTS since they didn't put that in the game has lost a lot of it's players this year it seems like the game has cooled down quiet a bit along with the commentary they took out the newspaper which they shouldn't have a lot of people liked reading the post game comments and stats.Comment

A+. It's easily one of the best video games ever made, if not the best video game ever made. I absolutely love MLB 13 The Show.Comment

Re: What's the Grade?
A-; I reserve further commentary until I actually get to the post-season and the off-season [have 9 more games in the regular schedule]. I'm playing with the Brewers and Mariners, so I'll be working with a tighter budget. I'm looking forward to the challenge.
The '13 Brewers have clinched the first Wild Card. The '13 Mariners are 4.5 games out of the second WC spot.
It's been a fun season.
Braun's going to win the Triple Crown [no PED jokes, please] hahaComment

Re: What's the Grade?
I think it is a B. There are a few bugs and design flaws that prevent it from being an A.
I am amazed that I can guess a fastball in the top left part of the strikezone, get the exact pitch and location that I expected, and have my batter swing at the knees. This defeats the purpose of trying to guess the pitch. It would be understandable for a swing to miss badly (based on the swing attributes) if one or both guesses were incorrect because the batter would be fooled. Any player who "knows" what pitch is coming and misses by a mile would never be drafted, let alone make the majors.
There is a similar issue with pitching where a pitcher can have 90+ command, have the meter fall in the middle of both the velocity and accuracy, and be delivered in an opposite zone (aim low and away and deliver a high and tight pitch). It is understandable to miss zones. But anyone with 90+ control on a pitch should deliver a pitch in the general area where he is throwing.
These two issues alone prevent it from receiving an A grade because they are inexcusable errors in coding and/or design. They can directly effect whether you win or lose a game. If they fixed these issues, the game would be outstanding. There are other issues, but all games do.Comment

Re: What's the Grade?
I'll give it a B.
I'm still not a fan of the new timing window and MLB Live was a complete disappointment. The commentary also took a step back this year and the game is starting to feel a little stale. That said, it's still the best sports game on the market.Currently Playing:

It's weird though. As much as I loved last year's game, I'd say just about everything is better this year. But for some reason, I'm not able to get into this year's game like I did last year. I finished a full season last year, but I'm going to have to pick up the pace big time to repeat that feat.Comment
