Yao Ming in his prime
What sig skills would you suggest for yao at his prime. Stats say hes a great shot blocker over his career and various highlights show his finishing and passing ability. Would he be considered a faceup big or back to basket big?

Re: Yao Ming in his prime
Did you find a way to get Yao into the game? If so please tell me how. I am only interested if it is the real cyber face of him. I wouldn't mind Yao making a dramatic return to the NBA in an association lolWhat sig skills would you suggest for yao at his prime. And really Yao wasn't spectacular at anything that Sig Skills would help with I don't think. Statistically, Yao blocked a lot of shots, but the Eraser skills seems to just make the block more emphatic, which his blocks usually weren't. Yao didn't have the best post skills, so no Post Proficiency for him. Maybe Hustle Points and Post Playmaker?Comment

Re: Yao Ming in his prime
Yao was a great post scorer, but he scored because of his length and footwork. I wouldn't really call him a Post Proficiency type of player. Maybe Finisher to increase his effectiveness in the post/traffic.Comment

Re: Yao Ming in his prime
IMO i wouldnt give yao anything for sig skills.
he did what he did cuz he had 6+ inches on every not because he was that "skilled"Comment

Re: Yao Ming in his prime
This is always the argument to refute Yao's skill. He was just taller than everyone so thats why he produced. I disagree, if this was the case then Shawn Bradley's stats should be almost identical to Yao's... and this is not the case.
Sorry, but Yao was an extremely skilled big man and anyone that watched him play knows this.Comment

Re: Yao Ming in his prime
His durability rating needs to be really low. His constant injuries definitely contributed to his early retirementRikers Island Jail Inmates

Re: Yao Ming in his prime
I'd give him Post Proficiency. Sure, he may not have the skills that other guys with Post Proficiency have, but look at it this way: Yao scored a lot in the post due to his height. The game won't account for that unless he has Post Proficiency.
I'd probably give him Deadeye, too. I mean closing out on a 7'6" dude isn't going to make much of a difference to his shot, just don't give him crazy ratings.
I don't know about Hustle Points, you'd have to look into that.Twitter: @TyroneisMaximus

Being a Houstonian i watched plenty Yao games and post proficency and defensive anchor would properly describe his game.I'd give him Post Proficiency. Re: Yao Ming in his prime
I looked into the list of the tallest players in NBA history to do some research on that statement and came up with this.
Gheorghe Muresan- 7-7 9.8 points per game
Manaute Bol- 7-7 2.6 points per game
Shawn Bradley- 7-6 8.1 points per game
Yao Ming- 7-6 19.1 points per game
Chuck Nevitt- 7-5 1.6 points per game
Mark Eaton- 7-4 6.0 points per game
Rik Smits- 7-4 14.8 points per game
Ralph Sampson- 7-4 15.4 points per game-Hall of Fame
So of that list of guys who are 7-4 and above, only 3 average double digits for their careers, only 1 is in the Hall of Fame, and Yao is the leader by 3.7 points per game. So if Yao wasn't that skilled and his height wasn't that big of an issue, how is he the leading scorer for this group by far. If it was just because he was tall than all of these guys should be in the double digits at least. Yao was an incredibly skilled big man, especially putting up the numbers in his era going against Duncan and Shaq.Comment
