    Race '07 (PC) - Online racing

    All,
    I finally scratched a racing itch I had been trying to scratch for awhile. I fired up my Steam purchased copy of Race '07 / GT Evolution. I then joined a server and raced against random people and surprisingly had a blast. We raced the 2007 WTCC cars on the Anderstorp track. We ran a few 10 lappers last night and then again this morning.

    So... I would like to propose we start meeting up weekly to race! Any suggestions on time/dates and race format would be welcomed. I will volunteer to host the races but would appreciate any input to make it fun, Yeah?!? (Custom car paints, team format, and fictional team earnings would be cool.)

    Post any thoughts if you are interested.

      I've got a copy of every Race 07 expansion and game on Steam, so I'd be interested lol

          I could be up for it. I've been busy looking for work, so I don't have a lot of time to game. However, I'm always looking for racing nights. Try the CART 94/95 Mod if you get the chance. It would be a good add-on for races.

              I went back to this after reading this post, and damn that was a good game. Force Feedback was solid, graphics are good, the sheer number of cars and tracks I could race...

              Race 07 was just a phenomenal simulation. The implementation of using 3 separate controllers (my wheel/pedal unit, a Derek Speare Button Box, and a TH8RS shifter), hard mounted in my little rigged homemade cockpit setup made it damn near like the Vegas simulators I used to drive 10 years ago out in the NASCAR Cafe.

              I think I might throw this back into my steady rotation. Amazing how 6 years ago they included things that currently releasing games struggle with--UI that doesn't stretch the entire triple screen setup, incredibly detailed FF support, etc.

                              Will need to reinstall thru Steam but I'm down if we all can get together online, I don't have a PC mic anymore though.

                                  Server is up and is cycling through 30-mins of qualifying, 5 Lap races, Brands Hatch Indy and all aids off except Automatic shifting.

                                  BTW: I'm on vacation from now until the 8th.

                                                          Got there--got a total of like 3 laps in and it went to race. Had no pit stop presets, nothing, so I sat there fumbling on pit road for a bit and came back out, where it told me to pit again.

                                                          I'll need a bit of time to get myself in order next time lol
