"The most real NCAA football yet" are you kidding???

So the slogan this year of being the most real NCAA football yet is obviously a complete joke.

As I bought the game yesterday and put the disc in I was expected to finally see the equipment updated at least to the same level as Madden has been for the past 2 years...to my suprise not a thing has changed except for the addition of some "kicker" facemask which I have never seen before in real life. Absolutely shocking the revo speed 2 bar, revo speed robot RB, and the Xenith facemask/helmets were once again unexplicably left off the game.

In addition, remember those mysterious smudge marks on the standard 2 bar and Robot RB facemasks last year. Well they fixed those, but moved the issue over to the 3 bar RB jagged facemask. Well done ncaa football dev/art team!!!

The chain gang has been a part of football since the dawning of the game itself. It still has not made its way to the NCAA football game and it is likely the last xbox 360 version!!! Wow amazing realism.

Now don't get me wrong, gameplay is the most important thing...while I feel it is "slightly" improved with the new physics engine (some good aspects, some bad)...the lack of atmosphere and basic equipment and gear that you would actually see on Saturday is almost too hard to ignore!!!

I will keep the game because I love college football (and this is the only game out there) but the true lack of realism as it relates to equipment and atmosphere is like an annoying fly on my face that I just can't look past.

It maybe a complete joke, but you bought the game and EA sold another unit. That's all that matters

Gosens 6--Well I guess I am an expert level troll...whatever that is...if you don't like or you disagree with my perspective then just ignore and move along. Calling me an expert level troll doesn't change my viewpoint on the games lack of realism---when that is what it claims.

i imagine the only reason he clicked the thread was to report the trolling.

A perfect response. Just think in your brain for a second: did this opinion warrant a thread? Could it have not fit ANYWHERE else.

So yes, this would be considered as trolling.

Did you know the first college football game was in 1869? I don't think the chain gang has been around since the dawn of the game itself.

So your complaint about the game isn't with gameplay or game modes, but with the equipment that people wear? Come on man, you don't really get a good look at a facemask unless it's a replay. If that's the only complaint that you have, then I'd say EA did a good job.

Soooooooooooooooooo your telling me you brought the game just to play with the damn equipment?? =)

Now, I understand the accessories are a VITAL part of the game and we ALL have our "Deal-breakers" (No pun intended) on if we will buy the game or not.... While I agree that maybe the equipment may not be up to par, the actually GAME comes first. And being that the slogan is based off how it is played, then I believe they are making progress toward being realistic. But to base its REALNESS of the equipment speaks nothing about its REALISM.. So you mean to speak on the lack of it being as AUTHENTIC??

Sounds like someone likes accessorizing more than playing football.

Re: "The most real NCAA football yet" are you F-ing kidding???

To all who have commented...as stated previously if you disagree with my perspective on the game and the lack of realism (only using a word marketed by the company) just move along and ignore. The fact that you feel obliged to make abhorrent comments (which have all been poorly executed mind you) towards my impressions of the game show you all have a void within yourselves which can only be quenched with abruptness.

In addition, I don't quite understand what this whole "troll" business is about. I must not be up to snuff with the latest message board lingo. Sure I'll be a troll, I don't care...I really don't know what that implies.

Also, would the one individual please detail for me in a 3 sentence synopsis what the distinct difference(s) between realism vs. authenticity is. I would love to learn what the glaring difference is????????

So here I am (a proclaimed troll?) again standing behind my initial post. Again my advise if you disagree is to read, ignore, and move along...

I didn't realize that the most important aspect of the game were the accessories. Man, my priorities have been messed up!

^^^Most of us aren't disagreeing with what you are saying, although I would bet most of us feel that EA has bigger fish to fry in regards to NCAA football. Specifically, the DB aggressive glitch, broken sliders, wonky stat tracking, strange sim results, etc.

But bottom line for all of us, is that if we bought the game, it should have definitely been on a buyer beware basis given the track record of this franchise on the current generation of consoles.
