Where are the gadget plays?
Every year this seems to be a recurring theme. I popped in NCAA 07 and looked through some of the playbooks and saw all sorts of trick plays and misdirection type plays on both offense and special teams. I don't mean just end-arounds and HB passes, I saw real reverses, double reverses, passes off of these reverses, even a shotgun end-around/reverse series RB options(handoff to one RB and he runs an option with the other one) and even a triple option HB pass. Notable special teams plays include the LSU fg flip with a pass option, a fg shovel pass that Green Bay ran vs Chicago recently, reverses on kick returns and punt returns all completely functional. Why did they never make the jump to the PS3/360? With the new physics engine some of these plays would be killer.

Re: Where are the gadget plays?
I spotted a triple option fake punt I believe. It's in Western Kentucky's playbook.

They know their AI's so broken that the plays would either always or never work. Then there's the online spamming aspect of it.

Re: Where are the gadget plays?
I found a reverse play.. it was in Wisconsin's playbook if I recall correctly.

Formation? This sounds like something I would like for my custom playbook as well as the one with the triple option fake punt. I must be living under a rock, because I've never seen either. |
