Even when i face lower tier teams, i have trouble stopping there offence. Anybody got a good scheme or playbook they use to have more success against offences?

the defensive AI is weak-period and this mode is only rewarding if you are loser teenager who treats the NCAAUT like a job that you need desperately to be good at by buying an overrated team. You are supposed to "play" games, not treat them like a job.
but everyone gets an overrated team and cheeses with them like their life depends on winning. I go into games expecting to lose just looking for tokens because it will be a month before I get players worth a damnComment

I spent 12.50 to do the beefing up of my team. It only resulted in about 3/4ths of my team being beefed at the time. Even though I have a 93ovr, I still try to play like a normal human being, yet I still lose because of cheesy kids.

I have pretty good success with my defense, i dont even have legendary cards either ( only bought 2 packs and got nothing good in them). I bought a 7 card pack once and got nothing to shake a stick at. I have made my team from doing challenges and playing the auction block. Like the one poster said, I go into every game on All-American expecting to lose, heck I was expecting to get blown out when I played the SEC overall 92 team (conference challenge) and my 86 rated team mop the floor with them.Comment

I've had the same problem too, I can run a train on offense but I can't stop anyone on defense. I've used the Oregon playbooks and they seem to work the best on offense but defense idk. I just tried Stanfords as well because its more of a "pro" type offense and I hate it. Going to go back to Oregon for now. Defense is just unreal right now though.Comment

I notice my DBs cover far worse when i'm playing a lower overall team. I've got a 96 rated defense, but they don't seem to do well against bronze players... But when i play good players, even receivers which are better than my cover guys, it plays more realistically at least (players actually play "smart" rather than running the wrong direction. Also, zone seems to work a lot better in this game than in past iterations. A lot of my picks have come when i go to zone."And he MUFFS it!!!"Comment

Played a guy earlier and he went for it every 4th down, one time it was like 4th 27 and he converted. I ended up losing on some bs.NFL- Houston Texans

for a quick version , i have decent DBs (86> ovr) and use the 3-2-6 or a Dime/Quarter.. and a 3-3-5 a few times. Those usually work for me... I either just play man and watch the TE since that is usually Users favorite target.
To be honest how i stop peoples offense usually, i study what type of plays they run usually. If they pass to the TE alot i cover him, If they run mostly i use blitz.. you get the idea. I only use those formations though."Clear Eyes, Full Hearts, Can't Lose!"] [V] [ ICHIGAN WOLVERINESComment

Mix up zone and man.
When you are manned up, take a blitzing backer or a play where he is normally a spy and protect the middle of the field manually.
At half check the stats, if he is targeting one receiver, spotlight him and hot route a player to man cover him, so essentially you'll double cover him.
These are my solutions and they are not that great. The fact of the matter is if you try and use sound football logic the game punches you right between the legs.
Oh 3rd and 20....lets run quarters. Oh hey, how did that receiver get behind my 4 Safeties....its frustrating.Comment
