OC and DC leaving for new jobs.
I have a offline dynasty with Miami. After a decent season the OC and DC leave every time to take some mid level coaching job. Is there anyway way to stop them from leaving? And. If not any way to control who his hired as the replacements? (Can't complain too much, Gary Patterson was hired as my new Defensive Coordinator.)Tags: None -

My level 11 OC and DC were hired away and I ended up with a level 15 DC with no skills and no skill points.Comment

Nope. The CPU controls who is hired as your coordinators. Hope a patch comes out to fix this.Comment

Re: OC and DC leaving for new jobs.
That sounds glitchy. I also got a new DC, he was level 13, but I was given the opportunity to re-assign his skill points no problem.
I would like some user input regarding the coming and going of coordinators. As head coach you should have control of who's coming in, but coordinators should be able to leave if they wish. Maybe a way to persuade them to stay, but at what cost? There's no system for that right now.NCAA FB 2003 - 2014 Dynasties

Re: OC and DC leaving for new jobs.
Better luck next season. lol
But I feel your pain tho. Most of the time, I end up getting a better DC/OC with more skill points anyway.Hook EMComment

Re: OC and DC leaving for new jobs.
So this might be a glitch but didn't it say that the maximum level for a coordinator is level 20? My Hurricanes in the offline dynasty hired Gary Patterson as a defensive coordinator and he's level 51 with all defensive skill tree unlocked lol. I know he was a coach but he got fired so I thought it would drop him automatically to a 20.
Oh well it doesn't even matter, he's going to leave for a coaching job next season like every other coordinator.Comment

Exactly I hate how coordinators who don't fit the play style get hired and I can't do anything about it.That sounds glitchy. I also got a new DC, he was level 13, but I was given the opportunity to re-assign his skill points no problem.

Re: OC and DC leaving for new jobs.
I'm pretty sure they take over your style of play when they're hired. I was an OC and turned it into a HC job when my HC left for a bigger job. My play style has not changed with the hiring of a new OC."Baseball is the coolest sport because, at any moment, the catcher can stop the game and go tell the pitcher a secret" - Rob FeeComment

That's still annoying and unrealistc if someone like dana holgorsen got hired at Miami and swithces his playbook to a pro style offense.Comment

Re: OC and DC leaving for new jobs.
I know when you look in Coach information, then go over to the coaching style, the HC and OC/DC can be different, meaning you could have a Air Raid HC, and a Pro Style OC. But I have no idea how that plays out, when they have different styles. May only affect people who sim games and/or play coach mode?NCAA FB 2003 - 2014 Dynasties

Re: OC and DC leaving for new jobs.
So you want them to change your style when hired? I thought you were complaining that you didn't want that to happen?

Re: OC and DC leaving for new jobs.
You're not getting the point. I want to have some input on who gets hired and make it little bit more realistic. Idk about you but I'm not fine with an Air Raid coach getting hired to a team like Wisconsin and then magically he switches to a pro style OC with no problem at all.Comment

That's very possible. I don't sim or play coach mode. I guess I haven't looked into detail on this. I just know my playbook hasn't changed and I'm seemingly getting the same style of recruits. Probably just should have kept my mouth shut."Baseball is the coolest sport because, at any moment, the catcher can stop the game and go tell the pitcher a secret" - Rob FeeComment

Re: OC and DC leaving for new jobs.
Most Oc's don't bring in their own playbook to schools all of the time. For example, I'm sure Georgia Tech has had many different OCs in the past, but they always run the option. Like I doubt John Bond is going to bring in an Air Raid playbook to GT and change everything. You're not getting the point. Sure, It'd be nice to hire our own guys. I agree with that."Baseball is the coolest sport because, at any moment, the catcher can stop the game and go tell the pitcher a secret" - Rob FeeComment
