    National Championship Game flaw?

I just had #2 and #3 play for the title. #1 played in the Rose Bowl (Oregon). Oregon won and was #1 in both polls. While Alabama (#2) played Florida State (#3). All teams had one loss

Was Oregon #1 in the BCS? Or just #1 in the media/coach polls?

That's strange. Maybe they weren't #1 in the bcs poll? That'd be strange in itself if they were #1 in coaches AND media but not bcs...

With the way the BCS is set up, anything is possible.

The fact that people are reporting SDSU and Central Florida playing in season 1 (2013-14 season) National Championship game is far more disturbing. Clearly the formula that EA is using for either the polls or for the BCS Standings is way off because there's NO WAY either of these teams would leapfrog one loss teams.

Central Florida is in a bcs conference now so I think they would.

One of my early sim dynasties had a #1 face #3 in the NC and afterwards had a split #1. ESPN Headline even remarked on it. One school was Coach #1 (BCS winner) while the other was #1 in the Media.

Can you really call it bias when they've won the last 7 in a row???

Only if two SEC teams play each other.

Wasn't USC #1 in both polls but not the BCS when they got a share of the title?

Ya cuz we all know how great of a game The Irish put up last year.
To keep this on track thou, the BCS is just screwy in real life. I think it was '03 when Miami and FSU both had one loss and FSU was ranked ahead of Miami even thou their one loss came against the Hurricanes.
If their is another college game next year, at least their will be a playoff system.

Yes they were. USC lost in late September to Cal in 3OT. LSU lost in mid October to Florida and OU was undefeated and ranked #1 before getting beat 35-7 by K-State in the Big XII championship. Human polls both moved USC to #1 but the BCS still had OU as #1 while USC remained at #3, which meant OU faced LSU for the title.

LSU beat OU 21-14 while USC beat Michigan in the Rose Bowl 28-14. The AP poll kept USC at #1.

I noticed this in 13 and it applies here as well

BCS Championship teams, in game, are determined by the following:

Undefeated teams are first. If more than two, the teams are determined by best conference prestige.

Teams with one loss would be next. The team, or teams that would be taken are best 1 loss team determined by conference prestige.

So, if let's say Miami(OH) was the only undefeated team in game leading into bowl games they would be the #1 team in BCS rankings.

Not quite the same, but it reminds me of a national championship I had on a previous iteration of the game.

It was #1 Cal (12-1) vs #2 Georgia Tech (10-3). Georgia Tech won, but Cal was still #1 in the end of season polls.
