Re: Is this game worth $60?
Well, in the end the only opinion that matters is your own, some of us love it, others hate it. Only thing I can suggest to you is read the impressions thread, and then rent the game for a few days to see if you like it.
My personal opinion is that it's the best NCAA football game this gen, and maybe ever. I finally got to retire NCAA 06 on the PS2 because I think this game is that good; But, like I said, it's all personal opinion. -
Re: Is this game worth $60?
No, its a really good ncaa game but still has some annoying flaws. Luckily you can snag a copy for under $40 on ebay or craigslist. Then if you don't like it sell it and you're out close tonothing. Only suckers pay full priceOS Red Zone

No. It reaembles a patch of the last two versions which were not good
This is only my opinion but you shouldnt have to continue to beta a game after release for that kind of moneyComment

Re: Is this game worth $60?
Like the OP I skipped NCAA 13 but played NCAA 12 a lot. I think that NCAA 14 is much better. The game can play really good with some good sliders and the proper adjusted game rules sliders since they do impact game play and not the number of flags see Recruiting is much improved and athletes now can play multiple positions which I love. In the end only you can decide if $60 is worth paying for the game.Relax, it's just a video game!Comment

Re: Is this game worth $60?
Do not, I repeat, do not, spend $60 on this game, or any other game this gen. This game is being sold for $39 new on Amazon. It's on me. I shook his hand too hard. It was a hard ... kind of a slap-shake.

Re: Is this game worth $60?
To me, college football is about rivalry and atmosphere.
I understand that for a video game, rivalries must be incredibly difficult to translate over from real life.
But the same cannot be said for atmosphere. For whatever reason, the crowd for this generation has been neglected. I'm starting to wonder if EA went to a cemetery to get their atmosphere settings.

It's a bargain at twice the cost IMO. Depends on your financial situation I suppose.Comment

Re: Is this game worth $60?
This game is really fun imo. I've bought NCAA every year since '02 and there has been more than enough times that the jump from year to year has seemed not warranting the price I payed for the newest one. But I feel like I've gotten my money's worth this year.
With the running game and blocking improvements the CPU in dynasty mode is a lot more fun to play against. Especially those spread option type teams. I was very skeptical about the coaching tree thing but it actually adds another level of depth in dynasty mode. I also love the new recruiting system. It's a lot more streamline and time saving compared to the old system. Once you set your recruiting board the first week you can just check each week to see who needs more points or who to drop off and it will save your points from week to week. It saves a ton of time compared to the old system by doing calls one by one. You really have more time to play the games.
I think since you have not bought the game in two years you will enjoy this year's version.Last edited by TitanUP2; 08-03-2013, 12:08 PM.Comment
