CPU controlled ball carrier not on player lock?
 

So I was playing a exhibition game against my brother when I switched to a DB when the ball was in the air to intercept the pass. I guess there were 2 DBs in the area as it all happened really fast but the CPU got the interception and proceeded to return it 70 yards for the TD. I remained the other DB and was lead blocking for him down the field. Has this ever happened to you where you did not become the ball carrier? Did I accidentally press something as I was going for the pick?
