    The market is dying...

    Is your team recession proof?

There are two pages of 95+ CBs for sale and three pages of 95+ WRs for sale.
There are at least twice as many sellers as buyers.

Once the market tanks, this game is over.

Maybe it'll come back, but there'd need to be an influx of new players for it to happen. Doubtful.

Well there's a lot of sellers before Madden. Once Madden comes out and were back to people who are actually playing and not dumping their team it'll stabilize. Doesn't matter of its with less people or not. Just so long there are the same number of buyers as sellers.

Not really into MUT to be honest. I will play this game for a long time. Love Fifa ultimate team last 2 years, Madden just didn't get me into it. I hope people start dumping their players soon.

Part of the issue is so many are buying packs and short selling for any coins they can get.

Maybe you're right and it'll correct itself, but this next week will be a great time to be buying. I figure a card that used to be worth 100k will now be worth 50k.

I also figure there are thousands of us who keep bouncing off the 1100 card limit and are trying to squeeze every coin out of all those worthless Gold cards we can and quick selling all the Silver and Bronze. With no truly worthwhile collections except for the new Team ones, there's no need to keep many Silver and certainly no need to keep even a single Bronze player.

The only things I've been able to move in the auction house since the HH newton dropped is this week silver collection pieces levy 15k riley 20k and one auburn legendary collectible right when they came out for 40k. Ive posted about 30 other auctions everyone elite or top level golds at low prices and have not have any sell at the bin, some have sold but mostly right at required bid.

After playing the Madden 25 early release I feel confident this game will recover, Madden is nothing special.

It is definitely a buyers market right now. I got a Tommy Frazier yesterday for 10K and a Blackmon Elite for like 20k. I'm buying everything I can now and once it stabilizes after Madden re-selling to make bank.

I would imagine that this weekend may be a good time to unload players with the start of College Football. After that i would expect a steady decline as we approach closer to next gen consoles, won't see many new players as most will be holding out till than. Plus FUT 14 releases in a month or so and you know what kind of following that has.

I had trouble moving some gold players for 700, which with 100 selling fee is basically a 100 coin profit. I have a couple of HH in my reserve that I'm gonna have to sit on. Def a dead market now.......I would expect to see some crazy discounts tonight as I'm sure the wackos that go to the midnight release for Madden will be dumping their teams

Some folks spent real money, and a lot of it, to buy these high end Elites and Legends and EA has intentionally inflated the market to such a degree as to make them worthless compared to what they once were. Excellent way to take care of your customers...

If you somehow think the market will recover, I'd like to know how it will. The die-hards have been playing since release and will be the only ones playing in three weeks.

I know I have no use for even a single Gold player. Who does at this point?

You could run with a great Legendary QB for 5k.

                      Three Elite RBs for 15k.

                      Elite Braylon Edwards for 10k.

                      A 90+ ovr Gold OL for 10k.

                      Elite DEs for 14k.

                      Elite Starks for 10k.

Elite MLBs at all the LB spots for 12k.

Elite Claiborne and Cason for 20k.

That's a "great" team , but not really in comparison to others.

Basically, these cards are at the basement of the buying and selling market. And they'll only drop more and more. I may just pause NFUT for a month and come back just to get Deion for 100k.

For those who've played other Ultimate Team games, is this how it plays out? If so, what's the point? I guess I'm just disgruntled because it really isn't fun anymore and I want it to be.

At this point any card I have that's Gold that has no business being part of a team or any other Collection gets quick sold. And that's painful because I spent real cash on many of them.

Bronzes are dumped immediately because you can pick up ones part of a Collection for 150 coins most any time you want.

The only true sellers market is the Silvers which may or may not be part of a future collection.

It will be a very interesting market to watch the next few days. Most of the elite cards are holding value but a large chunk of the gold cards are becoming worthless.

I had a Von Miller 91 overall gold end at 2,600 coins. That was an 14k card three weeks ago.

Very few people buying right now. Those that are buying are mostly trying to flip cards.

I do think it'll improve a week or two after Madden releases. I see a lot of people playing both and NCAA will pick up audience during the season.

It'd be nice if you can interface with both modes on the next gen consule.

Excellent suggestion on the dual market between the PS3 and XBox. Won't ever happen, but it should.

I think the Elites are holding value because people refuse to drop the price to make them move. Elite Champ would probably sell at 200k, but no one wants to let him go that cheaply. I use Champ as an example because I have two that I cannot sell at 250k, so I'm just keeping them. They were 300k plus this time last week.

The new Cam is down 100k from what it would have been selling for last week. Not sure how many are actually moving even now.

If I had a guess, the number of folks with loads and loads of coins has been cut in half or more. I know I'm in a holding pattern until I move those Champ's.
