Do you find yourself going back to past Madden games after a recent Madden launch?
I've gone back to 10 the last 3 Madden games. I still say Madden 10 will never be beat... Can't say for 25 yet though, cuz I dont have it yet.

I've never been so dissatisfied w/ Madden to make me play an earlier game for another year, if anything I play NCAA more that year is all but still end up playing them both quite a bit.
This was especially true for a couple of years when franchise stagnated.Comment

Splitting time between Madden 08 on ps2 and Apf 2k8 since the demo. I've also went back to gta San Andreas while I wait for the new gta.
I don't play entire seasons anymore but a play now of packers vs current opponent is fun a few times during the nfl season.Comment

To each their own. The foot planting in Madden 10 was nice, but not enough to keep me from playing 11 instead. You see, even though the foot planting was great, the pursuit in Madden 10 is broken. Defenders target behind the ball carrier and not where he is going. This allows short runs to turn into big runs and big runs into scores. I felt that 11 was the better of two evils.
Madden 12 had me with it's custom playbooks and improved presentation. I have stuck with it [and also play APF 2k8] over Madden 13. I felt from all the videos, reviews, blogs by EA themselves, and so on that Madden 13 was really just a beta for Madden 25. A reboot of the franchise in a way. They still have more to bring back, but I think I will enjoy 25. It is still Madden... but I think I can still find some fun in it.Comment

If they don't fix some of these issues plaguing what would be a great game this year I doubt I'll ever buy an EA game again.
I do still play the hell out of Madden '96, but I'm old school like that.Green Bay Packers
Chicago Cubs
Arizona Wildcats

only time I go back is to update the rosters for other players once new madden comes out I useally play that till seasons over.
12 was farthest I ever got in a season that was 6 last yr I played a yr and stopped. I useally just mess around in play now or just mess with rosters.Comment

Yeah,I didn't bother with '13 which was the right call and this years game looks like a no go so far as well.It has potential but will only consider if a worthy patch is out soon, not a Thanksgiving one like '11 had.
I like '12 alot and find it to be the most playable one this gen.Graphics, camera, cut scenes, editing in franchise,an editor available in the rosters section are all improvements/benefits over this years and last years versions. It really doesn't have any big flaws that can't be fixed.Super lb's-decrease jumping by 30,dt's overpowered pass rush-decrease block shed by 30.
I can understand liking '10 as well,I have that one also and had alot of fun with it.Last edited by gr18; 08-28-2013, 05:43 AM.Comment

@gr18
Something abuot 10. The atmosphere, just feels truly like an NFL experience. That NFL Films music adds a ton to the spirit of the NFL and I really miss that aspect. A simple addition of "Custom stadium sounds" for Madden 25, I could have brought my cherished NFL Films music back. The Legend list on 10 is also far superior to 25 and larger too. Sad considering this is supposed to be an anniversary edition.Comment

Re: Do you find yourself going back to past Madden games after a recent Madden launch
I am a Madden fanboy I will admit and will get Madden 25 just because I have not missed a madden since 2001. I may hold off a bit though as I am finally starting my CCM in 13. I got the game at launch last year but with the birth of my son and time constraints I never played much beyond a few play now games and some MUT. Once the season ended I lost interest and moved onto baseball. Now that football is back in season, I decided it was time to get my franchise going. I have to at least play one year in franchise to feel I got my worth of the game.Comment

Madden 12 seems to get a lot of love/hate thing from everyone. Doesn't seem to be an in between. I was a *****. I literally played maybe 3-4 games and it ended up back @ gamestop for a trade in. I went back to Madden 10.Comment
