Denver wins. The exodus from Baltimore in the off-season concerns me, and I'll remain concerned until proven otherwise.
I also really like Denver this year. They look strong. Thanks to LBzrules: So these threads won't be forever lost.

Thank God I'm off work on Thursday night. Dumervil gonna get after it. Rice and Pierce, one-two punch. This secondary definitely has the potential to be abused by Manning though.Comment

Sure, but the front 7 is arguably improved; the defensive line is without question. Some of the guys we lost were long in the tooth and getting to the point of being a liability in certain areas of their game. Not saying you don't miss a guy like Ed Reed, but is he even gonna hold up throughout the season?
The losses on defense aren't as major as they may seem, especially given who we've acquired. Though I do think Cary Williams is a guy who will be missed more than a lot of people are counting on.

Rahim Moore's chance to exorcise the demons. I'm sure he's pumped. I have no idea what to expect from our defense. That's the big question mark for me. Honestly, I don't know what to expect in this game.
I DO expect Elvis Dumervil to do nothing all game long except get gobbled up by the offensive line. That's all he did last year. I still don't get this enthusiasm surrounded Dumervil. With Von Miller on the other side of the formation, he couldn't do a thing against single-man blocking. Most of his sacks came in the 4th quarter during clean up duty.Last edited by Broncos86; 09-03-2013, 12:05 PM.Comment

I have Denver winning this one. I get the sense that Peyton's been quietly fuming over last season's loss in the playoffs and will use it as motivation to will the Broncos to victory.Member of the Official OS Bills Backers Club

I think we'll win but I believe the point spread is surprisingly high.I think Baltimore gets 8.I wouldn't have thought it would be higher than 6.The only two games with bigger favorites than Denver are Indy is favored by 9 over Oakland and New England by 10 over Buffalo which I can understand both of those.Comment

Re: Week 1 TNF: Baltimore Ravens @ Denver Broncos
If a WR emerges opposite Torrey Smith the Ravens will win this game. Actually with the laundry list of injuries (hobbled Bailey, in the air Rogers-Cromartie; Broncos lost both Centers for the year) and the suspension of Miller, I'm surprised Denver is getting the nod. My biggest concern on defense is Michael Huff and communication breakdowns. Outside of that, they should wreck shop.
It's a faster/more formidable defense.
We just need another presence at WR, so I'm going to be looking for that.Comment

Re: Week 1 TNF: Baltimore Ravens @ Denver Broncos
Center actually is not an issue for the Broncos. Ramirez has stepped in and hasn't missed a beat. JD Walton may even be out of a starting job. Ramirez picked it up so quickly.
The Broncos secondary isn't an issue, really. The question will be the front seven of the Broncos. If the Ravens have their way with them early, then it'll be a long game. The biggest question mark is the Broncos special teams coverage, which has been HORRIBLE in the preseason.Comment

I don't think the Ravens win this game by throwing the ball. They need to have a successful running game and try to win time of possession and limit Peyton's possessions.
The Ravens can try to blitz all they want but Peyton will pick them apart.Comment
