    Trades impossible??

If you seen what I offered for Sharrif Floyd you'd laugh. They still won't do it.

They want a C and LE.

    I offered
    84 overall rookie center
    81 overall DE
    1st round pick

    for

    83 rated S.Floyd.

It took a 3rd round pick for me to get 61 overall Pat White... ridiculous

That's realistic, IMO. No team is gonna trade their 1st round pick before he has had a chance to succeed or fail......and no team in real life would offer what you're offering. I know your point, but it SHOULD be darn near impossible to trade for the guy you are wanting. Just my opinion.

you also have to take into consideration that the cpu factors in cap penalties as well. If it costs you 10M in cap penalties to trade a player you just drafted why would you do it?

I'm in a fantasy draft. He wasn't close to being a top pick. They are desperate for a Center. I have built my rookie Center to a 84. I just offered my Center and 1st and 2nd round pick for him and still a no go. It's impossible.

cap is off, it shouldn't be a factor at all

I traded a 2nd pick to Arizona for the Honey Badger. He got me 2 picks against the Rams in his 1st game. He is a 73 overall which I thought was a fair trade. I never tried trading for a 80+ overall.

I got it to work here's what happened. This is the LEAST they would do.

                Traded away

84 rated rookie Center (their top need)
                1st round pick 2015
                2nd round pick 2014 (2015 pick wouldn't work)

83 rated rookie DT Sharif Floyd
(I didn't try to get anything past 4th round pick to go with this)

                What a frickin joke.

Easiest thing become owner of the team you want to trade from. Get the guy you want and whatever else you want from the team.

Go to retire and retire the owner from the team you just used.

I'm all for playin fair but EA has to remember this is a video game and we need to do what is fun to us. This is just stupid.

I control 1 team in a online franchise on my own. So set it to controlling 2 teams? Go control the other team and send a trade? I can do that with 1 profile? I don't want to retire from the team I'm currently using.

This doesn't seem that crazy, especially if you consider that team's schemes might change how valuable they perceive a player to be. Your center could be rated very poorly to them and their scheme. .

Teams don't trade away young, cost-controlled talent. The game tends to reflect that.

                        Re: Trades impossible??

I think they're impossible too. I did the flip to the other team and retire thing. They wanted extremely high value for low value in every case. Any GM that would pay what the AI wants would be fired in real life. Yet somehow AI to AI trades are just ridiclous on the other end like the 49ers always trading Justin Smith for Vick Ballard. Especially over Ed Reed and 2 1st rounders.

There is a small hitch in that when flipping to the other team you can see they don't have your guys rated in the same way. If you wanted a 68 rated running back and the team had a C on their needs list and you offer a 70 rated C then it's possible to them that guy is only rated a 66. Still it shouldn't be that big of a difference to be the major problem it is.

There used to be a "force trades" option to circumvent this. Is that not around anymore?

                              Here we go!!
folks complaining that trades are too hard to pull off.. Next year theyll dumb it down and folks will complain that its too easy.

hopefully theyll just add a accept all trades settings. come to think of it, dont they have that sort of option already in the franchise settings.

Im all for a game being difficult to pull off trades. Its up to a team to accept a trade or not, not the person proposing the trade. doesnt matter if you are offering something very enticing or not.
