Already more punts in Ravens/Broncos game than I ever see in Madden :/
Wonder if EA can ever fix the defense or tone down the offense to achieve more realistic gameplay. I MIGHT see 5 or 6 punts total in a game on Madden, whereas I see that in one half irlTags: None -

Its a little absurb how dominant offense is on Madden. Every year their new thing is something for the offense. This year its more control with your RB creating an easier running game and then of course the option plays.
How about adding something for defensive minded players like me?Comment

I notice that the pass coverage isn't that unrealistic in Madden 25. But the offensive line blocking is WAY to good compared to real life. If they tone down the offensive line blocking to like 10 online this would go a long way to make defense better in this game.Last edited by ghettogeeksta; 09-05-2013, 09:42 PM.Comment

People still don't punt. Even the many people here on OS who believe they're sim. I think a couple days ago I played a guy who picked the Cowboys and has 4th and 22 on his own 26 yard line... he didn't punt ha. After that I just stopped playing rank matches and just wait for the Week 1 Rosters for my online league to start.Comment

I came on to create the exact same topic.
Roght now I'm seeing offenses that are powerful, but still having to fight and scrape for yards. I'm seeing plays where the defensive line dominates and there are literally no holes to run through. Similarly, I see a lot of plays where the OL just doesn't get a push. I'm seeing receivers struggling to seperate from the corner. I'm seeing a defense where the defenders don't leave a huge gap between two adjacent zones. I'm seeing impressive man-on-man defense where corners don't need 2 deep safeties every single play because routes against man aren't automatic, even against cover 0. I'm also seeing man-blitzes be moderately reliable as a result of this.
The teams have 28 points, but its still looking so much tougher to score in the real NFL than in this game.Originally posted by Kaiser Wilhelmthere should not be ties occurring in the NFL except when neither team wins the game.Comment

The Linebackers need to be a lot better in man 2 man on the game. And the OL pass blocking HAS to be toned down. Also the slant patterns are impossible to stop with man to man coverage on the gameComment

Also the TEs pass blocking is way too good against elite pass rushers on the game. Pass rush ratings vs pass block ratings doesn't seem to make a difference. Its complete randomness who wins the battle in the trenchesComment

Maybe next year they'll have a defensive player on the cover and introduce improvements to the defense. Or they should at least. lol Something big like the hot stick for the defenders, just to make the sides balanced again.Comment

Wait, you see 5 or 6 punts a game??
I'm not sure if I've seen that many in all my games combined.Comment

You've obviously never run a hook or an out route.Comment

I would disagree that every WR is like Wes Welker, just from personal experience, because I see a significant difference between, say, Dez Bryant and the rest of the receiving corps, and the same goes for other teams. But you're definently right with the Peyton Manning comparison - on default sliders, I notice almost no difference between an accuracy rating of 82 and an accuracy rating in the 90s. It makes the difference between controlling Matt Schaub and controlling Tom Brady negligible. If EA lowered the default accuracy slider, we'd probably see a bigger difference between good and elite QBs.Originally posted by Kaiser Wilhelmthere should not be ties occurring in the NFL except when neither team wins the game.Comment
