Game Mode/Situation: Play Now/Global settings menu
What setting were you using: Anything other than 5 minute periods
Bug/Glitch: Setting any period length other than 5 minutes in global settings menu does not save for play now games. Result is you have to manually set period length in play now settings menu every time to get any period length other than 5 minutes.
Can you repeat the bug: Every time
Steps taken to repeat bug: Attempted to set different period lengths in settings menu and save profile. Each time the period length when setting up a play now game was reset to 5 minutes.

Not sure as this is really a bug but something that needs fixed.

When in Be a Pro going from the NHL entry draft after you complete the memorial cup and everything are going through the off season the game freezes every time on September 12th

Have gone through it 3 times and each time it has frozen right there

Edit: It worked when I simmed up to it and the day by day but everytime I tried to sim past it in like a mass sim it would freeze

Penalties need tuning again for NHL 14 - there needs to be more.

System: PS3

Game Mode/Situation: GM Mode & Season Mode

What setting were you using: Have tried Pro, All-Star, Superstar level with penalty slider, cpu penalty slider and cpu teamate penalty slider maxed. 10 min periods

Bug/Glitch: Lack of penalties during games, inc cpu v cpu. I very rarely see more than 1 or 2 penalties per team using the season ticket version and latest slider. I've seen games with no penalties called also.

Can you repeat the bug: Have watched around 30 cpu v cpu matchups and penalties are few and inconsistent.

This was the same issue experienced in NHL 13....can this please be tuned so more penalties are called to exact a more sim feel to the gameplay.

Houston... or should I say CHICAGO WE HAVE A PROBLEM!

So I play opening night against the Caps and I get to watch the lame banner raising ceremony that could be 1000x better (but its not). And I think, meh. Whatever. I play the game, win in OT and all is grand. THEN...
I play my next game against the Tampa Bay Lightning...
We're. Raising. The. Banner. Again.
Geez. This is pitiful. Please fix this.

So basically every home game I'm going to have to watch the banner raising ceremony. Not that the other intro is all that great but I kind of like the part where they're standing in the locker room (hall) and come out on the ice.

Presentation must be a main focus next year EA. Please.

Custom Music Off Play does not work!? I can hear my custom Music on all other events, but not Off Play! Anyone else with the same problem???

I noticed it also with the custom off play music. The default music works, but nothing on custom. I'm hoping that Tuesday when the game comes out for retail they have an update or tuner set. They typically do.

Maybe it's just me but every game I've played the goalies are wearing there AHL affiliate mask not the NHL one.

Same, I've had a few goalies that don't change masks upon changing teams, it's really cringe worthy.

Also, dunno if it counts as a bug or not... but...

Game Mode/Situation: Live The Life
What setting were you using: Defaults, Simming penalties off(thanks for this, much better mode)
Bug/Glitch: After verbally abusing management to the tune of -50, they called me up before the playoffs due to my "Outstanding character and behaviour off the ice"
Can you repeat the bug: Not sure, not going to try with the early release, but it'd be disheartening if my actions didn't affect management
Steps taken to repeat bug: Trash management and call them clowns whenever you can.

Steps taken to repeat bug: Just simmed past Sept. 21st and game freezes
