It goes to official timeout and the next play, hes back in there. A few plays later, same deal. Then a third time. Its as if QBs cant be knocked out of the game! I can't be the only one to have seen this, but I couldnt find any other threads on it.

Are quarterbacks indestructible in franchise mode?
I've yet to see a quarterback injured in a franchise game so far (Ive played about 15 including preseason). In my most recent game, I had three different times late in a game where I sacked the CPU passer, it gave the injury notification on the screen, and the guys in the booth started talking about how it was serious and his family was watching, ect.

Re: Are quarterbacks indestructible in franchise mode?
I injured Ryan Mallet (he was starting because Brady retired) and a qb by the name of Virgin (no joke) played the rest of the game. -
Re: Are quarterbacks indestructible in franchise mode?
I just lost kirk cousins for 11 weeks to a broken collarbone. Ive injured probably about 4-5 qbs in like 30ish gamesComment

Re: Are quarterbacks indestructible in franchise mode?
You have played 15 games? So roughly a season. How many QBs manage to get injured for at least a game in a 15 game period? A stinger here and now, sure. A hard hit they have to shake off, yeah. However unless a QB is already injury prone, they usually don't get injured.I've yet to see a quarterback injured in a franchise game so far (Ive played about 15 including preseason). The scenario you are describing sounds more like the audio being triggered incorrectly. Thanks to LBzrules: So these threads won't be forever lost.

Re: Are quarterbacks indestructible in franchise mode?
I had Ryan Fitzpatrick get knocked out of the game in the second quarter. I've injured at least one other QB too but he ended up getting back into the game. I don't think 15 games is enough to be shocked that you didn't severely injure another team's quarterback.----------------------

Last time I played, I injured Eli Manning in the 3rd quarter for the rest of the game. Seeing as I'm a Charger fan, I then proceeded to do a little dance around the room in celebration.————————————

Re: Are quarterbacks indestructible in franchise mode?
Well, I agree with that larger point. However, what triggered the whole thing is the game TELLING me that he's injured after he's been sacked and is lying on the field rolling around in pain. Multiple times.I don't think 15 games is enough to be shocked that you didn't severely injure another team's quarterback.
When that happens with any other player, he's at least knocked out for a few plays. NFL rule and all.Anyone who claims to be a fan of two teams in the same pro sport is actually a fan of none.Comment

Re: Are quarterbacks indestructible in franchise mode?
Its a bug in franchise mode that has been there since last year. If you only have 2 quarterbacks on your roster, the starter will never come out of the game even if he is hurt during the game. What happens is the injury is triggered which causes the announcers to mention it, but the player is frozen in place. After the play he is back in the game and not on the injury list.
I have tested this by changing the injury slider to 100 with only 2 QB's on my roster and running the QB on every play trying to get him hurt. About one out of four plays an injury would be triggered but he was always frozen and never came out of the game. I signed another QB (3 on the roster now) and did the same thing, he was out 6 weeks on the first injury and he did not get frozen in place when the injury was triggered.
Interestingly enough, even if you only have two QB's active (a third that is injured or on injury reserve) the starter can still get hurt, it is only tied to how many are on the roster.Comment

The same applies for TEs I believe. Both of these were issues in 13 that were not addressed. Pretty annoyingIts a bug in franchise mode that has been there since last year. Re: Are quarterbacks indestructible in franchise mode?
I'm 9 games in to my franchise and Matthew Stafford has been knocked out both times I played the Lions, other than that, no qb injuries. I will say though, I am using the Bears and I cut jmarcus webb and the Lions picked him up and start him at RT, and Stafford takes a ridiculous amount of hitsComment

Re: Are quarterbacks indestructible in franchise mode?
Running my Bears franchise here. Against the Vikings, we knocked out Ponder for the game in the 2nd qtr. Playing the Lions right now, and we knocked out Stafford in the 1st qtr, and then took out the 2nd-stringer as well midway through the 2nd qtr. Just started the 3rd qtr, and Stafford is back in under center.Last edited by RGmoney; 09-07-2013, 02:56 AM.Comment

Re: Are quarterbacks indestructible in franchise mode?
I'm glad you brought this up. While I don't want me starting qb to be injured, I was finding it odd to see him hurt several times, only to see him the next play. At the least, he has to sit out one play according to NFL rules. Its a bug in franchise mode that has been there since last year.
