    Goal Reviews

I've watched hours of gameplay of NHL 14 on YouTube and haven't seen a single reviewed goal. I know this was like an NHL 11 or 12 addition, but last year they were very rare...

I'm wondering if they are still in the game or have they been removed so that EA can hype them as something new (that's obviously not) later down the road.

Sidenote: If you watch some of these online streams, its no wonder why EA is switching to a more arcade style of game. Most of the online players seem to prefer that way of playing. Oh yeah. They constantly complain about offsides, penalties, and basically everything else that occurs during the game. It's really great. I even heard a Canadian complaining about something (oh yeah, the slower speed of the game compared to the demo) and he said...'I don't wanna play a sim hockey game, I want to play a fun hockey game'. And then he, like many others I watch, proceeded to complain about every little time he lost the puck, but it was fine and no complaining occurred when he was the beneficiary of the same scenario a moment later.

People suck, bro. Well, not all of em...but a lot of them do.

I had one. I threw it on net with Alexei Ponikarovsky and it bounced of Dainius Zubrus and into the back of the net...goal was upheld.

I had a goal overturned, but That's all I've seen so far myself.

Nothing new. Some online players prefer the standard skate in, shoot, score style of hockey. They want their 9 goal a game average, and won't be bothered with sim style play. This includes penalties and such.

They are in the game. They rarely happen in real life and the game reflects that.

Like people have said, playing EASHL is annoying but that's how it goes. I haven't played a game yet where someone hasn't quit out and my wingers will try to go coast to coast and get injured every time while my fellow defenseman and I are wide open every time and never get a touch of the puck all game.

I have seen some reviews, but it seems to be the exact same way as 13. If a goal hits off an offensive players skate, they will review it, or if the puck flys up in mid air the a player hits it mid air, they will review it. Also if a deflection is high they will review. They always seem to be allowed though, I do not think I have ever seen one actually disallowed.

Why was your disallowed if I may ask?

I had disallowed in an EASHL game last night. Set up off to the right circle ready for a cross ice one time. Got the pass, one timed the puck at the net. The puck hit the cross bar and my guy batted it out of mid air into the net. Goal was disallowed because my stick was over the cross bar.

I'm worried that the "not 100% across the line" issue might be back.
That odd thing that happens when you shoot the puck and it hits the net just behind the post, but doesn't quite go across, so the AI still skates in and sweeps it up and skates away with it.
I had it happen in the Demo. Malkin fired a one-timer that beat the goalie over the stick side, it went behind the goalie and into the post area, then dropped to the ice. With 5 seconds left, time expired before i could get it back.
                That one was always frustrating.
On topic however, i had a few reviewed calls in the demo. I'm still on the fence as to my purchasing NHL14, sadly.

That happened in the '14 demo? I'd be very dissapointed if that wasn't addressed, considering it's been a problem for multiple iterations!
