Warning : online play is more fighting than actual hockey

After played for 3 days online, you will see that less and less hockey is played and more and more fighting will take place. They design the game around fighting and even though it part of hockey, it disrupt the rhythm and the flow of the game too much. half the game will be spent watching the same guys over and over again fighting. Game that use to take 20 min will not take 45 minutes.

Also if you big hit someone and they get injured, you can get an game misconduct. I have seen it happen quite a few times too. I think this will get 10x worst once the general population will get the game.

In 40 online matches, the only game misconducts I've seen came from dirty hits into the boards from behind or dirty hits completely away from the play.

Injuries do trigger an auto-fight for the person who made the hit, though.

I find it humorous that if the auto-fight pops up, you can escape it by running away from the scene of the crime. Once you skate far enough away from the incident, the "press Y to fight" icon disappears.

Funny you say that because the first game I played as a defenseman, I laid a guy out in the slot (don't know what I was thinking) and got a 5 min penalty and game misconduct. It was my first hit with my d-man.

They have to add instigator penalties and the option to turtle to keep your guy from getting injured. It's funny when you hear the commentators talk about the guy instigating the fight, yet there is no penalty?

ive only seen like 1 or 2 game misconducts so far. fights are tuned way down unless people purposely try to activate them.

the early release doesnt have fighting tuned way up like the demo has so its not that big of deal now.

They also need to add a 2 minute unsportsmanlike penalty for shooting the puck on net after the play.

That should help curb all the people doing it as a way to start a fight.

I've seen probably around 10 game mis conducts so far. I like it, just some of them make you go "WTF? how did I deserve that?"

only real problem i can see developing is when your using a big time hitter getting penalties every time they hit someone. though needless to say, i just finished a game where there were 0 fights.

I'm afraid that it won't be tuned. There's so many things that needs tuning before I'm going to buy the game. Fighting is the biggest issue right now.

cheesers are ALWAYS OUT in full force. BTW getting the game on the 360 in a few days when Gamefly is delivered on Thursday if someone wants to play or do a club game. kiingspade is the gt

The only cheesing I've seen is on face offs.

Face off spammers are out in full force and are winning way too many draws.

Does this game do "GM Connected" like Madden? Seems like a great way to get some good games going.
