Can you adjust season length in be a gm mode to make it shorter? I'm yet to buy nhl 14 but am waiting on this to decide on it

It's a full season only. The only thing that I saw that you can change is the number of seasons you are a GM.

Nope you can't that's why me and my friends are skipping this year. If they want more people to enjoy GM modes and have less dead leagues they need to add it next year. Ok now back to my crueling boring 82 game shedule of my 2nd season in NHL 13.

Yea this was a big downer for me too. We've been clamoring for this...but I guess EA will not grant us this....HOPEFULLY in the future. My theory is that, after the first season, schedules, ranks, player progression/regression, trades, signing of FA, rookies, drafts will BE A BIG MESS like in the previous versions of EA NHL BaGM (offline).

They are banking that by the end of 1st season, 82 games, we might get bored and not play in full the succeeding seasons. In the past I played like 3 seasons (only a handful of simulated games) and my frustration builds up because of illogical progressions (where many players, specially rookies will jump from high 70's to low 90's in single year).

Only time I play all 82 is a GM Connected online where me and 2 friends all play on one team. That keeps me interested because there's 3 of us playing and it's fun to keep the stats.

For me Offline GM, I play 1 sim 3. 20 or so game season is fine by me, then play best of 7 series if I make the playoffs. Got a tough slider set this year, don't always make playoffs lol

This was one of my main gripes with '08, and the reason I haven't gotten the game since.
