Nba2K14 (CG) - Flashing passes - Cheese

Hello,

based on numerous gameplay videos (at least 10) of Nba2K14 I can say that flashy passes are cheese and some sort of version of Nba2k13 "self alley-up", "circle dunk" and "up and under".

Just watch latest video between Pistons and Wizards. Nene is doing "no look pass" above the shoulder to Beal with astonishing accuracy and speed. I doubt there is one single player in the universe able to do that (no Utah fans... even Stockton is not able to do that).

I can predict Online as "flashy pass" fest all over.

So I hope 2k will address this issue as soon as possibile.

I doubt any of them are playing on hof sim,

atleast get the game and say its cheese first. lol

I'am glad I only play good people online and not randoms on quick ranked games because it's definately gonna get ridiculous. For sure.

I just love how people keep complaining about the game without having actually played it. We don't know what level this guy is on at all. For all we know, he might be on Pro default settings.

Seeing as how Quick Play is on Superstar Sim settings, this may not actually be a problem.

Looks like I'll need to adjust the ballhandling slider to like 25 and the passing to 45-46 again this year

I've stopped putting any stock into any of the gameplay videos that seem to pop up out of nowhere all over the place on youtube lately, i wanna play the game myself before i start judging if something is cheese or not. All i'm gonna say about flashy passes in the real nba is that they don't occure very often, you don't see a behind the back, or no look, or through the legs bounce pass all that often in the real nba, so i can see your point, that it's propably gonna be overused in online games, but we will have to wait and see how the accuracy really is on those passes, caus maybe it's low enough to the point where you don't wanna do it too often or you will just pile up the turnovers, let's wait and see and not jump to early conclusions.

Ok... now this is getting ridiculous -> "you have to play a game before complaining"...

As I wrote in my first post I made my claim based on at least 10 gameplay videos. Some of them are from early stages, majority of them are pretty new.

For example watch latest gameplay between LD2K and some random guy :wink: and you will see flashy passes going trough players with precision and speed.

I think this is not a thing which can be altered by difficulty or slider settings. I think this has deep roots in gameplay system.

August 28th

Controls fell real good, took me a few quarters to stop pressing LT when going at the rim, which resulted in some funny looking flashy passes (that somehow still connected) which I brought up and was assured that 'that' was not possible and that it was due to the build.

If I made a thread saying this game will be the best 2k ever based on gameplay vids, the first thing anyone would say was that I haven't played it yet....this works both ways...

I'm pretty sure the Franchiseplay vids were on pro judging by all the leaning, falling out of bounds shots that went in...

But well just have to see...

We've seen terrible flashy passes in trafic connecting in the Machinima gameplay wich was on SS/SIM.

We can wait till we get the game if you guys want but there is definately some going on with flashy passes.

I saw them connecting too...but are we simply talking a high success rate, or are we positive this is a successful exploit? I don't see how we can be so positive right now...can you elaborate on that JW55?

The success rate of completing the pass definitely need toning already from what we've seen...just don't know if I can call it "cheese" yet...how would we know?

Personnaly I didn't even think about it possibly beeing an exploit, I just thought it looked ridiculous. But now that you mention that (I'am slow) you could be onto something. But yeah we'll have to wait and see.
