How is the rebounding?
Every year it seems like these guys fail on the rebounding. Great rebounders too frequently pull down 6 or 7 boards. Do great rebounder consistently hit double digits?"If you care at all, you'll get some results. If you care enough, you'll get incredible results."

Re: How is the rebounding?
If you're talking about simulation stats i don't know, but i'm not liking the rebounding in mycareer right now. My guy is an athletic pf on the thunder and westbrook, durant, lamb and FISHER are stealing half of my rebounds. I'm talking about me moving towards the ball, extending my arms and when i'm an inch away from grabbing the ball one of those guys comes out of nowhere and snatch it. And the annoying "grabbing air right next to the ball" is still present as well. I play on superstar sim, maybe that's the reason.
It's not gamebreaking because i can still get an acceptable rebound rate, just highly annoying.
On a positive note, i am glad they made it so that we can move in, out and around the paint more freely.DISCLAIMER: low quality video, not suited for snobby eyes MyCAREER Power Forward MIX - 2k13
P.S. I wish all superstar/-team abusers and cheesers a bad day for ruining MyTeam.Comment

Re: How is the rebounding?
I play a lot of online Team Match up on Xbox and it seems to be a little bit better. Boxing out seems to be more effective which is huge. I stopped boxing out last year.
A few 'free ball' rebounds seem to have a little magic. But off the rim boards are better.Comment

Re: How is the rebounding?
Stat wise you'll rack them up...
If YOU are controlling the rebounder ball tracking is great and boxing out is effective..
but the system in itself of still rough...it's still too much of a jumping contest for my liking..Comment

Re: How is the rebounding?
In my first test (10 games simmed; out-of-the-box rosters; adjusted sliders)
- Okafor 13rpg
- Howard 12.4rpg
- Randolph 12.3rpg
- Aldridge 12.3rpg
- Kaman 12.2
For comparison - the next tier averages about 9 a game (ie Jordon on the Clippers has 9)
FYI here are the assist information (another worrisome area of 2k13):
- Vasquez 10.2apg
- Nash 10.2apg
- Lowry 9.7apg
- Irving 8.8apg
- Rubio 8.8apg
- C.Paul 7.8apg
A lot more testing needed to draw conclusions but so far I'm happier with what I see then I was with 2k13 out of the box.
Edit: I have always thought the adjustments made to the system since 2k11 to address button-mashing cheesers did more harm then good. It is what it it is though.Last edited by Taer; 10-03-2013, 10:36 AM.Comment

Damn shame, that's just as bad as last year. This is a really important aspect that 2k just seems to ignore every year.def not fixed
