It is no doubt in my mind that 2k has lowered the difficulty online. I purchased this game on the first day and out of the box online was a thing a beauty. If you defended well and you were upon shooters it was a great chance your defense paid off no matter who it was.
I ran into multiple Knick users and they could do nothing with Melo or anyone else for that matter. Their was a fight in the paint. No longer could you just go back up after an offensive rebound with scrubs and get easy putbacks. If you played good defense and bodied them they would have a difficult time making those shots, especially non offensive oriented players.
Now its back to 2k13 all over again. Users just jacking up 3's from anywhere no matter whos in their face and making them. Crazy shots in the paint falling that wasn't falling when the game came out. Game just looks and feels so unrealistic all over again. It's like a big joke. Some of the shots I see that go in I just shake my head. Fake is the best word I can come up with. No skill at all. Just seems percentage based because many of the shots are crazy low percentage shots.
Not to mention the constant swiping at the ball with no penalty, along with still being able to recover at the same time and be in good defensive position. It's like swipe.....ok I didn't get it that time........swipe again...swipe. All awhile their swipes dictator how my offensive players moves.
I gave it a shot cause they preached defense defense defense along with the difficulty being raised but I believe they cracked. I definitely have to see something within the next couple of weeks that's gonna really draw me to next-gen cause if it's the same engine ported over I just can't do it.
But as of now I gotta throw in the towel on this current gen.
