Defense breaking down after scrambling quarterback

There are several folks in my online dynasty that love to scramble with their quarterback and if they run around long enough, my defense will break down, even though I put on man coverage or whatever and they'll hit a big pass down the field.

My usual defense for this is a spy on the quarterback with a linebacker and containing with my defensive ends.

Is there a better way to assure the defense won't break down at the end of a play like this? I thought about putting several linebackers in a hook zone, but I am not sure if that would work.

Any tips?

Use more Nickel, Dime and even Quarter packages. That way you will have more speed on the field. This will help you track down the QB better.

I wouldn't suggest using your DE's to contain. (Unless of course the guy likes to throw a lot of screen passes). That really just gives the QB more time to look down field with almost no pressure.

You need to blitz more then. Defense will break down after a certain amount of time. Watch any football game and you will notice this. The difference is you're playing a video game with power vision so you will always see the open man. How many down linemen do you have when this is happening? How long does he have when he is scrambling? Russell Wilson scrambles a lot and what do ya know he finds an open man after the d breaks down. It is pretty realistic in my opinion.
