No playoff patch "at this time"

EA Sports has suddenly began responding to fans on their NCAA Football 14 Facebook page in the last two days. So far they've said more uniform packs are on the way and now this: "no news on a playoff update at this time but we'll keep you posted."

Speculate away.

As the above stated, im not getting my hopes up but i am glad that they are at least saying something and not just being silent.

Yep def more hopeful than yesterday but knowing ea I won't sweat over it.

But if they truly want people to enjoy NCAA 14 beyond this year IMHO you need to add the playoff .... The game becomes incredibly outdated this time next year because the college football culture and landscape will be totally different this time next year

The lack of playoff already made it outdated as after 1 season of dynasty it would all be wrong...I was waiting until next year...I'm still on the fence...a playoff would seal it though

I totally agree! It should have been put in this year, but many were like relax, just wait till next year

I'm not getting my hopes up. "At this time" could be them holding back a flat out "NO" for now since they are still trying to sell the game. Coming out now and saying, "sorry, no playoff DLC." Would not be a smart business decision.

They're just saying that so people don't think series is dead and people keep buying the game, uniform packs ultimate team packs, etc. We've seen this song and dance before.

I disagree. The entire NCAA team has been demolished. Even saying anything at all on their Facebook page shows that they're still committed to the franchise, at least a little bit. In this case, I think saying "something" rather than "nothing" is a good sign. Why would they even answer that question if they aren't at least considering it? If they aren't whatsoever, they just skip that question and leave everyone in the dark void they're already in. Also, they stopped with the "smart business decisions" with this franchise when they fired/moved everyone that worked on it.

Now, I'm not saying this is 100% going to happen, but there's more than a 0% chance there was prior. I'd give it a 33% chance now.

I think by them saying something actually helps them move more units which still means something to those who are still employed. Staying mute does no good for that. Also if there was a "playoff format" addition one would think it would have already been developed and I highly doubt that to be the case because it would have been one of their big selling points for what would have been next years game.

It is cool that there is some sort of communication going on for, for sure. However, I would be insanely shocked, like BLOWN AWAY, if anything like this ever comes out.

I honestly believe they are trying to squeeze every single cent they can get out of this game before they abandon it totally. I don't believe 3-4 months worth of sales is enough for them stop support right now but then again who knows what EA will do. They're so unpredictable.
