Why so negative? Whats your favorite thing about 2k14?
I know a lot of you guys voice your opinion about things you don't like in the game, which trust me, isn't a bad thing at all, but what's your favorite thing so far about 2k14?!Check out my Youtube channel for NBA 2K14, Madden 25, & Battlefield 4.

Re: Why so negative? Whats your favorite thing about 2k14?
Being able to actually stop people. 2k13, i felt like to win, i had outscore my opponent. But this year i can actually have success with a defense first mentality.

Favorite things:
1. Fouls feel more frequent than they did in NBA 2K13 once you bump them all to 100. In 13 I could go all game (8 min quarters) and never see more than 4 fouls between both teams. It's usually 10+ between both now, even more if there is a lot of drives/post plays.
2. Defense feels much better than it did in last year's game. Blocks are far more common for those who should get them (and at times for those who shouldn't). It does feel a bit... over done at times, but part of that is probably because my association team has 5 players (between SF, PF & C) that are 6'10" or taller... and the game loves to try and drive on them with PG's and SG's all game.
3. Rebounding (especially user rebounding) feels much better. AI doesn't feel like it has as much of an insane advantage when they're going for offensive rebounds. I still had to tone it down some, but it's fine.
---
Also, I cannot say it's a pro... but I have face palmed or laughed at this game MORE since launch than I did 2k13 all year. AI controlled players (User & AI team) do some of the most bone headed things ever. Was playing the Timberwolves and their SF got the ball... stood in place for a moment, looked like he was going to drive, then ran straight sideways (a good 6-7 steps) out of bounds untouched.
I regularly have players (especially younger Centers) throw or hand my PG the ball when he's out of bounds after a rebound. Times go up for the rebound, miss it and barely touch out of bounds... but they pass it anyway. The AI botches inbound passes similarly for the AI team. I dunno, I got annoyed by these at first, but over the last dozen games have started laughing at them. Usually the games end in a 8-10 point difference (either ahead or behind for me) so, they don't usually make too much of a difference as they're usually only once every 3-4 games.Comment

For me gameplay wise its by far the best basketball game ever. Thing I love the most is defense now matters, and there is actually shot blocking which was non existent last year. You can actually win a game cause of defense now even if your not clicking offensively.
The other thing I like is the offense flows so much better this year and your players stay spaced for the most part.
Other than having to adjust shooting tendencies, fouls and lower the AI rebounding down the game plays greta out of the box without having to play 50 games trying to get sliders right for Association mode.
Bad passes this year dont look like thye are pre determined this year with the ball flying over a guys head, they actually look like bad passes most of the time this year unlike years past when you tried to get realistic turnover rates.
There is always going to be whiners and crybabies no matter how good a game is. 95%+ are the onliners that whine about things and I think that is something that wont ever change. Your always going to have sore losers and guys who think if they dont win then its the game fault, or if someone dont play realistic online then its 2ks fault instead of the person who u are playing. Of course the guys who dont play realistic will whine because if they have to have knowledge to win then they wont be happy either
Its why I only play offline only

1. The ability to punish opponents who don't run an offense. (Note: Running an offense doesn't necessarily man calling plays.) I was all over this guy running the Kyrie Irving and 4 strangers offense. Blocked shots. Stolen passes. Crazy. I felt vindicated for thinking through the game. Nothing worse than losing b/c someone beat you with a controller vs beating you at basketball (there's a difference).
2. I don't get the complaints. The Pro-Stick is one of the most innovative things I've seen in this generation of sports games--gaming period, actually.
3. The BK Nets are involved. How could that ever be wrong? The game is ours we'll never foul out. - Jay-Z

Everything, it's a great game. I only play offline when I have a chance, not too much online. As I been getting older I am losing interest in video game competitiveness and only play the computer. I prefer playing at the gym or park with my buddies, but whenever I need my basketball fix, it's good to go on and play a game or two and I love how its a realistic representation of the sport.Comment

This. Seeing at the end of the game Larry Sanders with six blocks is glorious. Not to mention you can see the obvious effect someone like him has when there isn't a blockHELLO BROOKYLN.

Re: Why so negative? Whats your favorite thing about 2k14?
- It's alot easier to move through the paint on offense. In 2k12-13 you'd get stuck way too many times which would result in a 3sec call or offensive foul.
- We actually get to go to the free throw lines when we get hacked on a layup.
- Defense is better, although it still has plenty of flaws.
- I can view my saved replays without my console locking up.
- More animations, although i wish we'd have the option to choose each individual dunk we want to have instead of having packs which usually have 1-2 dunks i don't like to see.
- Spacing is somewhat better, although opposing team cpu spacing on defense is horrible. They sag off shooters who will miss because the game apparently considers having a defender standing 6-8 feet from you as a contested shot. Even though they're still A-rated shots according to feedback. But i digress...

The Pro Stick.
The moves are so fluid and natural. I love how you can string dribble moves together and then go directly into your shot afterwards.
Seriously, go in scrimmage and do a half spin dribble into a jumpshot. See how much space you create.Lineup:
