Coach Profiles Ruin The Game

I know I know, hear me out on this. For the time when all the coach profiles were at 50, the AI from the CPU played BEAUTIFULLY. Players weren't constantly trying to drive the paint, jumpshooters shot jumpshots, and bigs actually got looks in the post.

After the new roster update, with the updated coaching profiles, any setting that's over 50 causes the AI to play out of whack. Constantly driving to the hoop, no matter what player has the ball. Iv'e had the AI draw four, 3 in the key penalties in the 1st quarter so far, because the PG does nothing but drive to the hoop, get stopped by a defender, and just spin and juke against an invisible wall until he gets called for 3 in the key.

No jumpshots, no 3s, they're not even passing the ball. It's just my opinion that player tendencies were A LOT better with all coaching profiles at 50. Anything above that, and it just becomes a PG spam the paint fest.

I know you guys are gonna call me crazy, tell me i'm wrong, but try playing a game against the AI with coach profiles at 50, then play with the new rosters with the updated coach profiles, it's a night and day difference.

Exhibition game? I have had the opposite....no more crazy drives and they will shoot if open....that was just one game and I'm gonna play some more...

Playing in Association. When the coach profiles were set to 50, the game was an absolute joy to play. Now, the AI is terrible, ugly, un-coordinated and I just can't stand it to be honest.

Maybe something else is under the good with the updates?

I'm not using the latest update because it jacks up the accessories (who would've thought that would matter to me?) but I do have the profiles set to how they were originally and the game plays fine...

Maybe, i'm open to all suggestions. I hate these conspiracy theories but something is different, and it happened with the new roster update.

Maybe i'm crazy, maybe i'm not, but i'm definitely noticing something.

Ahh ok...playing NBA Today games I don't see the problem at all and the AI is actually playing much better.

It's been a weird issue with 2k in the past when it comes to association and roster updates. I still remember Shaq shooting 3's....so you're not going crazy...

Just wondering what Difficulty are you playing on?

I've noticed that on Superstar, the CPU is too aggressive and drives to the paint relentlessly. While on Pro, they are less but it's too easy for the User.

Playing on Sim, All-Star. This was definitely not a problem before they "fixed" the coach profiles.

Now it makes playing the CPU in Association mode a terrible experience. I know it has to be the coach profiles, because before the changes the AI actually played an excellent game of basketball.

I don't understand. You must have started your association before the profiles were reset.
So why aren't they all set at 50 anyway?

Wrong, I started a new association today with the new rosters and updated coaching profiles..

This is why I'm seeing the out of whack gameplay now

It plays whole lot better and it's coming from a 4 match test with different teams. It plays better.

I kinda liked the the coaching profile's at 50 in online games. I felt that it "leveled" the playing field.

No way. There should be no reason why guys like Tom Thibodeau and Frank Vogel have any coach slider that involves defense in the 50s. It makes a huge difference in how teams react on defense and offense! More then most people realize, if you go back to 2k13 and play with the bulls you'll see they played beautiful defense and in this game they're just like any other team. what your witnessing right now is 2k not knowing what the hell they're doing with the coach sliders as always during the first couple of weeks of release, But as the season goes they'll adjust the sliders and make them more realistic. having everyone at 50 is unacceptable.

You're misunderstanding me, I'm not saying they all should be at 50. I'm saying it's unacceptable that the AI plays better with all coach profiles at 50. The defense might be fine, but the CPU offenses are so out of whack.

At least in association mode
