I think it shouldn't matter and people can play the game however they like.

People who play off ball defense is actually helping you and giving themselves a disadvantage.
Playing on ball defense makes it harder for the offensive player to shoot over them than it is over a cpu controlled player.
So actually you should be happy they are playing off ball.

I agree bro, everybody plays differently, why should it matter if they play off ball or not. All I say is just play how you play

I have played a lot of guys that are tough to beat when playing on ball d. I have yet to play someone that is hard to beat when playing off ball. CPU gets caught up on screens a lot more.

I do both, mix it up. I change up my defense, matchups, and rotations throughout the game. I've noticed playing on ball 100 pct just turns the game into all ISO and it becomes boring. I could care less what someone thinks because I know the majority online don't play sim anyways.

You can't play solid on-ball because of the lag. Off-ball is needed.

On ball D here, unless my opponent is doing something that forces me to play off ball. I may anticipate in the passing lanes off ball sometimes though.

I dont really care if you play on or off. Both have their strengths and weaknesses.

Not true. The lag will only affect on-ball D if you are reacting instead of anticipating like you should. If you are reacting to your man, you are already a step behind.

If I play off ball they always just run back and fourth around 3 to wait till I jump, no thank you

                          Confused here.

Why are you jumping if you're off-ball?

I personally hate playing off ball users but that is mainly because I have always been an on ball player. When playing on ball defense it is much harder to consistently keep people out of the paint when compared to computer users. The benefit though is that if playing someone who loves to take iso there pointers I have found that it is much much more affective.

When playing against off-ball defenders it is much harder to iso and get into the paint. But it is much easier to bait them into jumping for passes and creating off ball openings.

I play the game for what it is. I don't use excuses and hide behind the 'I play sim style and your a cheeser that beat me' mentality.
