Seems you have to play a perfect game. First game I played the suns agains the bulls. Had a lot of fast break points and a lot of points in the paint. Shot like 65% with getting good quality shots. However, he hit a combined 21 3's with Derrick Rose and Jimmy Butler. Doesn't seem very realistic.
Second game I rolled with the Celtics. Ran a ton of plays as he was awful at D. However, he was able to just go 1 on 1 with Melo and make everything. Then when I finally got back into it, he hit 2 back to back 3's with JR Smith even though he was perfectly covered, and to throw the cherry on the cake, I missed a gimmie with Jeff Green on the other end.
It just seems like there is way too big of a disadvantage for lower ranked teams. I know in real life these teams would struggle but some of the stuff going on just seems a bit to the extreme. Not trying to complain just wondering if i'm maybe doing something wrong or if I ain't alone here.

Edit: Just won by 22 with the 76ers over the Nets. Running plays seemed to work great and he shot 50% from the field. He shot 42% from 3. Not sure why such a drastic change.
