Does Madden have a good Franchise mode?

I've never really played it before but I was thinking of starting an Owner Franchise. Is it CFM good in Madden?

I only still play Madden 12 but I like franchise a lot.

I enjoy it, there is plenty of shortcomings though...IMO most of the issues are with CPU progression, it just doesnt do a good job managing players and improving youngsters. at least the cpu is active in trading players and picks tho. The actual gameplay is a seperate issue but depending on your skill level you can find a lot of enjoyment in it for several seasons.

I do wish it had more of the real life NFL functionality like restricted FA, contract renogtiations, being able to modify contract payouts (flat, front/back load).
